Imran, most people raised into a certain faith will be close-minded and never explore it. It's only converts who are interested.

Like I said, she was raised Christian and you're shocked she's close-minded?

Whereas you were raised--Muslim?--and are only close-minded regarding things not found in the immediate vicinity of Philadelphia.

One of my best friends was raised Christian and even became a Lutheran pastor (though he is not anymore, but is still strongly Lutheran). He's so open-minded, we sometimes fear his brain is going to fall out.

That's a good point. I think when people are on the right path and don't know it, and yet stay on the same path, we tend to call them closed minded. Same with those on the wrong path and know it. That's confusing. I guess what I am thinking is that you certainly need to be "reborn" into your beleif, whether it has always been there or not, if you want to be open minded, and in the case of Christianity, a true Christian. (I'm using too many commas). Anyway, we should all walk in our faith, knowing that it will be challenged and that we will be changed because of those challenges. Open Mindedness is not about knowing where you are but accepting that you don't know where you are going.
