Well it seemed Imran did mind them being topped. I untopped them because of his statement to that effect. This is his realm, so I defer to him.

Personally it doesn't matter to me. Doesn't seem like a big deal either way.

I believe I've made my feelings on this clear, Ozzy. If you feel like topping them go ahead, but I simply don't see the point considering the activity on the Sports Forum and the entire purpose of "sticky"ing a thread is to make sure it doesn't get lose in the shuffle of an active forum where it may drop a page or two.

If your statement were true, there would be virtually no need to top any thread on this entire site.

It's a tool for the convenience of the user base, such as it is. What's the harm in doing something nice for "your" users?

Very few threads are topped, actually (the one in the Sports forum would easily fall to page 2 in days) .

I don't particularly see the need to top a thread because a few users really would like to see that thread topped. What if all the people in the NFL thread asked for it to be topped? Convenience of user base?

We aren't "subjects" we are customers. And just like all the other customers you have lost over the years you will continue to lose customers to competitors that fulfill their needs.

Businesses that meet their customers' needs may survive. Businesses that exceed their customers' expectation will excel. Businesses that argue with their customers and tell them to do it their way better either have a monopoly or a very good exit strategy.

Both of the above are exaggerations, but I think they represent 2 different approaches. And let me ask you a question?

If you were going out to get a pizza and wanted ham and sausage on it and some old school Italian restaurant pizza manager "knew" that what you wanted to eat "didn't make sense" and would only serve pepperoni and anchovies, would you still want to go there or take your business somewhere else?

On a serious note... the Sports forum is supposed to be about supporting the sports community here. I can't believe the lack of interest by the mods in supporting the users of this forum/community.

At "another fourm" the mods even set up a temporary forum to help make the draft go easier for it's members.
Here, it seems they are too ****ing lazy to even top a thread for them. What a shame...

If the mods aren't going to take the time to help the members in this community, maybe they should step down and let somebody that actually cares do it

I respect Imran's right to make a call in this forum. I acted initially (against my first impulse to wait) because I didn't think Imran would object and with the understanding (that I communicated to y'all) that if he did it would be reversed. A turf battle is the last thing we need.

There is a thread set up in the OT to complain about moderator decisions, if you want to vent anywhere (and do so constructively) I suggest you guys go there. The fact that thread exists in the first place is a big step forward and demonstrative that the new administration is doing its best to respond to the needs and desires of the users. So before your draft thread anger gets the better of you, think of how far we've come.
