A lesson learned then, Solver and JimMac.

However, I've always wondered if CTP 2 was actually better, the same, or just a copy of CTP 1 minus Space Stuff.

I'll look up the link, Solver. Thanks, man.

      Just went thru the thread.

I think I'll try and acquire a copy of CTP 2. It sounds like a game worth playing. It should be cheap by now, so no money worries.

      Thanks a lot, Solver.

I got this game for discount, but then after a while it asks for the 2nd CD.

I didn't get a 2nd CD in the set! Just the one CD. So now I'm stuck.

Edit: Woah! By "This game", I do of course mean CTP2, not RON Thrones and Patriots... ahahahaha... heheh... hurmzzzz...

Hey Sovereign, I'm glad I made you want to get the game . It's even better as it sounds there, as the bugs are constantly being fixed by the source code project. The only problem is, you may find it hard somewhat to find a copy.

              Ali,
That shouldn't happen, there IS only 1 CD: a total install of of CtP2 is less than 400 MB, and much of that consists of movies you can perfectly do without if needed.

If you post the details (name and language of the game, when exactly it asks for the 2nd CD, windows version, etc) in the CtP2-General forum, maybe we can figure out a way to get the game running for you...

I got my info from eb when I added money to the pre release order. The game went from 40-45 canadian. Then it went back to 40.

                  Hehe Locutus.

Solver, I could always try Amazon, despite my semi-misgivings about it. Sacrifices must be made.

I think CtP2 will be the last great tbs empire game made. It must take alot time and money to produce a game on this scale . Ron is fun to play but each game does not have its own story to it as CtP2 does. Locutus -you should check a game thats coming out this year Supreme Ruler looks very deep has many diplomacy options

It is TBS in two aspects, Flash.

                        Conquer the World.

Pause Button to execute commands (semi-TBS, I admit).

You'd have to buy the expansion box w/ the cd. It has been that way for every game except GalCiv.

The downloads are PATCHES, which fix game bugs and are free of charge.
