Oh. Sorry, I thought you meant a different quest. The quest where you try to convince the Circle of Mages to honor their old treaty is the one I was talking about.

Apparently the game is quite different, as far as who joins your party, depending on your background. I'm a human mage, and post-initiation/going to the tower to light the beacon, I only had the one Warden warrior join me (Alistair). Following the beacon, I got the spider woman, the first mage to join my own.

Speaking of Morrigan, it is a bit distracting to hear Aeryn Sun's voice coming from her, not to mention Captain Janeway's voice coming from her mother.

I got a circle mage alongside myself, Alistair, and my pup. He was nice, he had cone of fire which I eventually figured out how to use to great effect (I really hate not having ANY AoE spells right now, though Spider-woman is nice when in spider-mode). I am going to the Circle of Mages first, so that sounds good to me

        And at the voice issues

Just out of curiosity... how did you get the mage with the fire spell? Was he a fellow Warden recruit that you went through the Wilds with?

No. I (briefly) had him for the 'first' tower battle, he was hanging out right before you went into the tower and joined the party for the crest to the top. He was named 'Circle Mage', no actual name.

The interparty banter amuses me greatly. I've been hitting on the witch chick for a while, and when the templar vocied his jealousy, she gave him a thorough lashing with her barbed tongue. I counldn't stop giggling all the way through it.

Yeah, the banter between Morrigan and Alistair is very entertaining.

I just picked up Shale. Very funny character. Voiced by HK-47, unless I'm very much mistaken.

                    • Btw, how did everyone name their wardog? I named mine Rapist. Would've called him The Rapist, but alas, no whitespace was allowed.

                        • I'm probably going to get this on 360, since my PC is rather old. Any verdict on that version yet?

I've heard the graphics are only so-so for 360, but that's probably due to the long development time.

                          • The 360 version is definitely inferior. I got like 0.7 lower on IGN, IIRC.

It's not just the graphics, but the gameplay. On the PC you can zoom out and move the camera around, on the 360 the view is fixed behind the main guy IIRC. PC is more tactical.

                            • ****ing hell. ****ing DRM.

It updated to 1.01 which broke the game, can't launch due to a "configuration error". Turns out I need to jump through MORE hoops to get "EAAccess" (EA's activation ****) to register properly and edit some .inis to get the ****ing game to load.

OR I could crack the game WHICH WORKS JUST FINE.

                              Now I remember why I don't buy PC games.Pirate.
