I'm not sure if Smiley could've marketed Society. It borrowed heavily from Civ. That saying I never played it but saw it played occasionally.

Jam- You should make a computer GMed version of GO.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Oh, and I'd play society. And GO takes very little time to play. What takes a while is for the GM to process orders and alliances.

Okay, so we have 1 player, and 1 GM for society.
And I'll say I'm interested in playing GO, which would make that at elast 2 people interested in playing GO...

        Time for OT recruitment?

LS- the sad thing about nuclear war is that after you've won once, then your tactics are all played out. I won once and believe I got in the top 2 a second time... I don't dare go back to the game

I could break out my GO Spreadsheets ... those were great little things I'm not sure if they're compatible with Office 2007, as they used some poorly written macros that I could write much better, nowadays...

I never came close to winning once. I think I was too aggressive.

As for society, work is being done on creating an easily submitted spreadsheet for the players- ti should speed up orders by 50%. - that might be able to encourage some people to try it out.

                      GMing is already automated

                        Ah!

Society is on a roll, we only need 2 more players if the following roll call is correct.

Needs: 5 players minimum, 10 players max.
Player Time Requirement: About 5-20 minutes on orders per round (hopefully a day)

                        GM-

Actually Mafia might be doable. IIRC the 1st one had only 7 or 8 people and 1 mafia. A smaller, more dedicated group could allow for better roleplay and a better game.
