In terms of lockers it appears inconsistent. You can usually tell if you've looted it though by seeing whether the 'empty' label comes up, unless you are leaving stuff in the locker.
    Thanks DrSpike

      • To Gramps: go to the Kennedy Center top floor for the brunch on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm (I think). It's $40 per person but my goodness, it's worth it! Just the thing to treat Mrs. Troll!

        • I just got the game. Been dinking around a little bit, but haven't really gotten into the main storyline yet.

          Any (nonspoiler) tips?

Specifically, are the +10% perks worth taking at levels 2 and 3, or is experience abundant enough to make that a waste?

          • There is a level cap of 20, and the perks are per level. You'll level up quite quickly. So that means taking Here and Now (bonus level) and the experience boost perks are pretty useless. You basically waste a perk.

There are quite a few bad perks in the game. I'd suggest using Intense Training to boost your SPECIAL if you're ever at a loss.

            • Also, the Chinese pistol is the worst gun in the game, and the Chinese assault rifle is among the best.

That struck me as being pretty interesting.

              • I'm at level 2 now and I think I've ruined half the game for myself already considering that I've got the karma evil doer.
I've shot butch, vault overlord, megatons sheriff, jericho, the irish bar owner with info on my dad, the ghoul barman and a host of other random people .... various reasons really, revenge, wanting hats, don't like being blackmailed etc.
I've got the quest to nuke megaton and I probably will since everybody in there keeps shooting at me now anyways which isn't helped by my 1 in Charisma. I'm pretty much built to be a psychopath.

                    • Logistically speaking, the house in Megaton is better located for use as a house than the suite in Tenpenny. But there's something you need to do to get it, and it's likely that you can't do it if Sheriff Lucas Simms is dead.

That's what I suspected. So at level 2 and 3, I'd imagine you're best off taking Intense Training, since the other options seem a bit lackluster? Gun Nut maybe? I'm thinking level 4 should be Educated and level 5 Comprehension for maximum bang for the buck?

                        • I got gun nut as my first perk figured the +% exp was useless since I could just spend abit longer in the game if needed. No other real thought then that apart from "oo guns, I'll need that with all the people I'm going to be shooting"

You can still get the house in Megaton, even after slaughtering all of the people. Stubborn children.

                              Spoiler:
You will recieve the quest after disarming the bomb, you turn it in to Simm's son.

                              • My friend Bing has almost completed the game. He has every single unique weapon, every bobblehead, and every XBox Live Achievement except for the three Neutral alignment ones. In his latest runthrough he killed all killable people in Rivet City, Megaton, Big Town, Paradise Falls, Canterbury Commons, and Raven Rock.

In fact the only killable permanent people he intentionally left alive were Sydney in the Underworld (along with all her neighbors) and Agatha, because he liked her radio.
