Given that Wii Fit is recently out in Japan, a "game" that appeals to the Wii casual base, why would it be idiotic to think it possible that Wii Fit would outsell SSMB?

I've no idea why he thinks this is a very bad thing for the 360. MS didn't integrate HD DVD into the 360. Now that the war is resolved, once Bluray readers can read DVDs at 12x, MS can integrate Bluray into the 360 as well...or release it as an add on whenever they want. Bluray's victory doesn't mean the 360 should've been delayed 1+ years to get it as well, as MS' marketshare dominance illustrates...

He probably also doesn't realize that the slow bd speed is forcing companies like capcom to make 5gb mandatory installs for their games. I believe there are now 5-6 games with such requirements including dmc4 and lost planet.

More storage, more game content. I remember critics saying this when the 360 came out. IIRC Microsoft has said that games for the 360 will be restricted to DVDs. Shame. But still, they had to release early or they would have been buried sooner.

Besides, the tipping point is upon us. All the PS3 had to do was keep pace in sales from launch date, and it has done that. Xboxes are pretty much a North American thing, and with the hardware problems, stupid expansion crap you need to buy, and lack of blu ray there's just little point in buying one unless you absolutely have to play Halo 3. The 360 also happens to be a complete turd as a media centre, since the fan sounds like a jet engine and ****s up any decent music you are listening to. Whoever designed the UI needs to be shot as well.

I tried ripping my Apollo Atmospheres album to the 360. It was unlistenable. You can hear everything on the PS3.

Roll on MGS4.
