If it was a good site, the guy would not falsify a review.

If you have a review copy, you can play online. He doesn't have a review copy, yet he somehow reviewed the game before its release? Notice also he's very vague about details in his review. Notice also he displays fundamental misunderstandings of console gaming history (eg, his comment about Perfect Dark being the first console FPS to succeed). Notice also the site he posts on is predominantly for PC gaming.

It's clear to me that his review should be dismissed for the following reasons:
1) It's a statistical outlier
2) It's very likely a BS review he made to drum up site traffic
3) It's clearly PC oriented, even down to his "bots" coimment

YOU are the one that made the assertion that "industry cred" is relevant. I made the observation that quartertothree is a terrible site if you're looking for industry cred compared to others, like Beyond3D.

And as I've said repeatedly, if you want to talk shop with the pros, Beyond3D is the place to be. John Carmack posts there, the chief designer and lead graphics designer of Heavenly Sword does too, as do Square-Enix artists and other developers who choose to remain anonymous (but are definitely who they say they are).

there are also some folks who are in the industry but dont post there public info (One guy who works with Steam and had apparently gotten tired of the nastiness), and some folks who are coders who have been and out of gaming,

Whenever there are discussions of the iinner working of game publishers and design studios as companies, the threads are long and seem well-informed.

No, it's really not. No other review sites had trouble, this guy flat out said he can't play til it launches...which is very suspicious if he had a review copy.

BTW, it's not only other reviewers he can play against. It's the special developers Xbox Live network -- he can play against Halo 3 testers (which are still testing the game!), other reviewers, Microsoft employees, game developers, etc.

All I'm saying is the "flavour" of that site is both decidedly PC-centric and highly suspicious given the terrible review.

I don't keep track of TBS sales -- it's kind of a dead genre except for Civ.

Brad is an industry professional in that he made a pseudo-commercially released video game, but his main job and his main money is in Windows customization software, and not games. Further, he's hardly a beacon of credibility when it comes to reviewing console games, is he?
