Yes, if only Halo could compete with the mighty Warhawk and it's 50,000 players.

Then do you retract your assertion that its mainly "nongamers" there?

From looking at that site, it seems to be predominantly about PC gaming.

Then your view of it is cursory. There are numerous posters there who mainly play consoles, and few who dont play consoles.

I can see why he's still bitter about Halo, then. Still, worthless site and review.

Many of the folks there eagerly look forward to Halo3. I also didnt detect bitterness, just disappointment.

Its definitely not a worthless site. Like I said, since youre so smart and theyre so dumb, Id be eager to see you posting there. Theyd give you a much better contest on many issues than we do here.

Don't get mad at me Asher, but the only game I ever owned for the Xbox was Halo 1/2.

I bought my XBox 360 a year ago and the only game I owned for it was GoW until last week when I bought Bioshock.

Halo2 and 3 are the only games I have ever put on reserve.

        HALO

I will correct it: PC gaming.

Judging from the forums, it's not a very popular gaming site and the majority of threads are about PCs. For example, the Mass Effect thread is about if/when Mass Effect is coming to the PC.

Why would I post on such a worthless site? The guy's an unqualified bit actor who plays minor characters on TV shows, his reviews are awful (and likely dishonest, since he didn't get a review copy if he couldn't play it online), and the forums look vacant and boring. The fact that YOU recommend it for gaming purposes only cements it as a worthless site.

If you want a game forum with industry professionals, there are far better choices out there.

There are at least two other people on that site who apparently are reviewers and have played it. One agreed with Chick, one cited his own (more positive) review.

Apparently that site is just full of liars and/or thieves.

Maybe I should go sign up and post:
Hello. Just like y'all, I got me a review copy! Let me say Tom Chick is 100% WRONG.

              See how easy that is?

Its far busier than this one. Im not sure why his bit acting says anything about the quality of the site.

                You're so sweet.

I still think you should take your great wisdom to the benighted masses there. You could show them how wrong they are. Or maybe not.

I already knew that, cause it was mentioned on Quartertothree.

No, it's about his qualifications. You keep painting the site as some bastion for industry professionals, it's not. It's some bit actor's little site, and that's all it is. It's predominantly about PC gaming.

It'd be stupid. I post on enough sites, and if I wanted to post with people like Tom Chick I'd post on the IGN boards. I don't care for the rabble.

The last post is on Sept 17th, a week ago. Looking past the first page of a thread is your friend. Some folks like resurrect old threads instead of starting new ones. Its been known to happen here.

cause industry pros DO post there, and not just Brad Wardell. They seem to like Chick, even if his creds are less than theirs. That happens, you know.

Look. I don't care if you can search 3 years back or 1 week back to find an example that's not PC-centric. Even in that thread there's people *****ing about how it's not coming to the PC.

It's clearly a PC oriented site. I don't see how you can deny this. The vast majority of threads on the forum are about PC games. The vast majority of games people buy are console games.

Brad Wardell is HARDLY an industry pro. He made a medicore game that didn't even sell that well for a company most people loathe (Stardock). He makes most of his money selling shovelware customization software.

                              Name the industry pros.

on the front page, not counting the stickies, there are two threads on Halo, one on "Warrior" (?), one of Metal Gear Solid, one on Jeane D'arc, one on the PSP in general, and one on Assasins.

Maybe theres more on PC gaming than on console gaming, but there is far more on console gaming than there is here.
