I very much doubt that. It's also much easier to upgrade your graphics cards than CPUs.

With the incredible power of the CPUs in consoles, and the trend of PC games also coming out on the consoles, CPU power will matter more and more on the PC as well.

The problem with CPUs is the sockets change. It's not hard, it just needs you need a new motherboard...which needs new RAM, etc.

I might as well upgrade the RAM at the same time in 1-2 years. Hell, I could reinstall with 64-bit and go to 4GB.

It's one thing to upgrade RAM and it's another thing to have to buy all new RAM and CPU and motherboard for what should just be a simple upgrade.

My CPU is now running at 2.7GHz. Running a stress test on both cores it's at ~65 degrees C.
