I've never been that great at making money. if i put things too expensive on the ah they won't sell (even if I'm the only person selling that item). Dailies aren't that great- they only pay 13g a pop. Takes a while to accumulate any kind of cash that way.

getting bored of this game again- who saw that coming?
thinking of doing something drastic with my life and cutting computer games all together. These are just fleeting thoughts, nothing serious. No need to call a hotline or stage an intervention yet. But I'm kind of seeing computer games as empty lately. I want something more...
P.S. just don't be too surprised if I come back to this game again. I probably will tomorrow until I get some plans in place...Last edited by Dis; February 11, 2009, 00:51.

you just have to notice some kind of trend on your server. Selling on the weekends for example, almost makes me double what I buy on wednesday straight off AH.
And watching the PTR and patch notes and speculating what mats will go up in prices helps. For recent example, frozen orbs were dirt cheap until they added in 3.08 that JC can used them to upgrade their gems. Things like that are your cue to dump gems (expected to go down in price) and mass buy orbs.
I think I stashed up around 500 orbs for about under 19G before it got shot up to 65g+. It is possible to screw up since it's all speculation, but when you already have alot of money, you can afford to make an error and in general, you're gonna make stupid amount of cash.:-p

Finally decided to buy WotLK and give it a shot. Leveling a Death Knight right now, I actually deleted my level 70s when I quit last time thinking it would keep me away forever, it didn't work. I haven't seen Northrend yet as a result.
The Death Knight class is so far more idiot-friendly than the Hunter and Paladin classes.

ya I tried a death knight recently. The power is just amazing. What really amazes me people claim they aren't overpowered. Granted I haven't got to 80 yet (maybe they even out by then), but the levels up to 60 are just way overpowered. I can take on 5 mobs in Western plaguelands and end up with a full rune power and full health. I took out that elite adomination in Andhoral in W. plaguelands again with full rune power and health.
The only thing that comes close to the OP of DK's is paladins. but even then you'll end up empty on mana quickly as ret. Ret is pretty awesome, but it's a mana hog. DK's don't have to worry about mana. Making them like 10 times more powerful than a ret pally.
I did die once. When I hit the blood of heroes and got 2 level 60 elites. I figured I could take one out, but 2 cleaned me up. Though I did get close to killing one. Perhaps if I got that one down, and popped a pot, I could have gotten the other down.
Anyways my 6 months is about up. And i'm playing xcom now for the time being. But something tells me I'll be back to this game some day . But working graveyard makes it difficult. This game doesn't have much to keep me as a single player game. Achievements just don't draw me enough. And raiding at 3 or 4 AM isn't going to happen.

Wow (pun intended)....I didn't realize you (or anyone else on Apolyton for that matter) was still playing.
I recently got my 5th toon to level 70, got flying mounts for all of them, and got them all to exalted with all 5 alliance factions. I think thats the majority of what I wanted to do pre-wotlk, so I went out and bought wotlk finally, but I still haven't installed it. Not sure what else to do pre-wotlk, unlike you, I do like the achievements, but not sure I know which ones I really want to do.
I still many play solo, my guild is dead, and I have yet to raid or PvP, so soloing is what I do most.
I know what you mean about Death Knights however, I was doing that quest in Western Plaguelands against the elite with....my Shadow Priest? and died doing it, but a level 60 DK solo'd it when I was running back to my body once, and he hung around to help me finish it. Wouldn't be so bad but my preist was something like level 65 at the time.
I still have fun with the game however.....anyone else out there still playing?

wow indeed. You've been busy. .
My wireless internet kinda sucks here anyway. Eventually I want to buy another house closer to my work. And I'll try cox cable internet there. I think it will be good there (it works perfect at my brother's house). I'm tired of driving 21 miles to work every day. And I'd like to buy while prices are cheap.
So eventually I may come back to this game. Until then I'll probably replay most of my better SP games. X com is being played right now.

Basically the above is saying Blizz trademarked "Cataclysm". Which means it could be the new expansion for WOW. Seems a bit soon, but it's not like they have even started work on it.
3.2 will be coming eventually. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patch...atchnotes.html. Some interesting changes, nothing too major though.
I'm not actually playing the game, haven't played for any length of time since March or April. It's not on my hard drive either, because I ran out of room. My computer is bogging down, and I'm not sure why. I basically need to install my new hard drive, install windows, wow everything. Which will take the entire day at least. Downloading the patches will not be easy. Especially with my bad internet connection. I'm not sure it's worth the work at this point.
Yet I still think of this game. Sad really. I have flashbacks when I'm doing other things (like working) of questing in STV and stuff like that. I miss the look and feel of certain zones like Un Goro Crater. As for raiding, I have no intention of doing that again. I don't have the time (I'd have to give up going to the gym which I won't do). Sadly there isn't much in this game to hold me if I'm not raiding. Acheivments, Special events, and PVP just don't do it. But I may come back when I build my new comp.
