I converted my priest over to a shadow priest as well. I figured I'll just zoom to 60, I already flew past the SM levels (doesn't seem to be a popular instance as alliance anyways). Repecced at 41.
I'm still trying to get the hang of things. Like spell cast order. I'll figure it out I suppose. I'm a little lost without holy fire.
Christmas... err I mean winter harvest (or whatever it's called) thing is going on now.
Already got my mount. Not bad my priest can take on two 45 southsea dock workers in shadowform by herself. I'm starting to like shadow priest. Only died once when I managed to pick up 4 adds from another guy.
got my reindeer mount thingy. Only 5 uses, but still cool.

Got my winter veil green outfit on. I think I'll fight with this on. It's not like warlocks need much clothing anyways, seeing how overpowered they are in pve.
So bad things are happening. I'm being pressured into keying for Kara. I've been telling them I'm not geared enough for it. I've been putting off gearing for it because I don't want to "work" at this game. I just want to play.
In order to gear up I'll have to use the armory which is tedius as they give you like 200 items that you can upgrade, including a bunch of pvp crap. And that's just for one item. I don't want to have to do "homework". I just like playing and not thinking about stuff.
This is why all my other chars are not in guilds. I don't like the pressure to level up and stuff. In fact, all my other alts are on hold while I'm building up my Shaman for end game. But as I said I still haven't went through the armory site: http://www.wowarmory.com/guild-search.xml

This is how they get so many people to continue playing. Social pressure. And I do feel it. There's this one canadian chick who is helping (kinda feels like pushing) get me keyed. And as you all know, I can't say no to a woman. That's why I prefer to avoid them.
When I played WoW, I played in a big guild of mostly-casual people I knew IRL, or they knew IRL. It was so much better than the pushy guilds with randoms.

If they won't let you play how you like, leave the guild. When you are hesitant to load the game beacuse of any pressure you anticipate in game from your guild, it's a sign.
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.
Kara is not difficult to get keyed for. My druid (Deirdreskye) got keyed the second day she was at 70. It was the second group to get keyed on the horde side. It's all just about knowing how to play. You will get gear as you complete the chain and that gear will be enough to get through the first 5 bosses in Kara fairly easily.

I might have an excuse not to raid now. My internet connection is acting up again.
I think my interenet is trying to tell me I spend too much time playing the game. Sometimes it seems like after playing alot, it starts shutting down. Like it's overheating or something. . Or I run into some maximum download/upload limit. I'm thinking maybe I need a new cable modem, but most likely it is old lines in the old neighbordhood. My brothers friend who lives down the street from me has problem with packet loss. I don't have packet loss problems, just disconnects and infrequent slowdowns.
I was down for about 15 minutes not too long ago. And had several disconnects trying to complete some group quests with this guy.
And another guildie is saying you need like 1500 healing and 150 mp5. I just can't see how to get that. Though I still have to do enchants. I think I can get another 150 healing from enchants (weap enchant mostly).
LOL, I have been playing for over 6 months now and I don't understand most of the references in the posts above referring to raids and what not.
But then again, even though I have 5 characters, none is a "twink" in that I basically build them all individually (with some gold help from those that can afford to help) and I don't buy equipment (I either make it with my professions or find it), so a lot of the times I don't understand the terminology.

I haven't done anything with her since the end of February.
Use my exact build. That build led me to having 3/4ths of the healing done on the server first prince kill in Kara. It also let me be #4 in damage on curator. I was able to heal for over 11,000 at a time with certain buffs.
It is also only 130 mp5 and I really never ran out of mana.

darn my computer connection held up beautifully last night as I got my first and second key frags.
It's amazing how well an instance can go between guildies rather than pugs. . I was thinking I was healing bad when our botanica run crumbled the other day. We wiped a couple times and couldn't down the second boss. The party fell apart after we wiped one time on the second boss. If the tank would have drew her over to the side room as I read in the forums, maybe we could have beaten her.
Although I wasn't healing for the key frag runs. I was doing dps as a restoration shammy and We still didn't have too much problem. We did have one bad pull, but other than that, went pretty smooth. Though the tank is pretty well geared, and I think the other dps were decent geared. Tank wasn't the best though, but he was excellent at pulling (other than the one time), and knew how to do all the pulls in slabs.
Although I still need to download some healing add ons. I heard something about healbot. What is this and where can I find it? And I still haven't learned how to do macros, I really should...
But maybe I was badly geared for that botanica run. My healing is almost at 800 right now. If I do enchants I can get it up around 950. but I still can't get my mp5 up to 100 let alone 150. The priest in my guild recently hit 70 and he's already around 1200 healing and 150 mp5. He's already the second healer for Kara. They even attempted a little bit of Kara last night before our key frag runs. I don't think it turned out well . They were just testing out the waters so to speak.
Yeah best to start raiding when they've got a a few bosses down already. Nothing quenches your enthusiasm for raiding like a night of wiping on the first boss.
