  • NE isn't hard. There is some spillover rep just from all the bloodymyst azuremyst quests on the Dranei starting area. I also did quests in darkshore to supplement XP from bloodmyst. And after bloodmyst went on to Ashenvale.

It was then I noticed I was well into revered, I figured the cat looks better than the elephant thingy. And seeing as I have no ne chars as I don't like them (I actually have a druid I never play actually), this was my best chance at the kitty cat mount.

Did all the Teldrassil quests including the 1-5 area. They don't have exclamation points, so you have to talk to everyone. Don't forget the guy by the ramp going up the treehouse thingy as that's a long quest chain involving the pools. There's also a cooking quest on Teldrassil that gives 250 NE rep.

don't forget all the Ashenvale and Darkshore quest lines. Some of the lines are long. Like the one going into that tower with the warlock dudes in it in northern Darkshore. And a quest line that takes you all the way to Duskwood on the other continents fighting the undead animal thingies (I'm not good at remember creature names ). I also did the NE NPC quest line in Desolace and 3 cloth turn ins (wool, silk, and mageweave), that's all it took.

    • Getting exalted with Darnassus isn't really that hard. My draenei priest did it at lvl 31 and I've heard of others getting there earlier.

      • I was playing one of my lowbies and I switched to 2 gathering professions. I was always told this was awesome, but I never imagined. actually my druid has had 2 gathering professions all along but he hasn't made that much money. But he has/had skinning/herbalism. But my dwarven paladin has mining/skinning. That is a huge money maker. As the gems alone sell decent, not to mention the ore and stone. That is why it is far superior to herb.

        I'm level 24 and have 50 gold. I think that's pretty sweet.

        • As a former blacksmith, I can imagine the money you've made, since I was on the buying end. And I did gather half of my ore.

Grinded, sold my first born etc.. on my original toon (long since defunct except to rake in outland money for alts) to get to near top end Blacksmithing only to find that I need an item only gotten through endless dungeon grinds in order to make the top end BS weapons.

Oh well. That's all a reflection on times past.

Also, I did know that they reworked the rep grind to yield much more rep for quests regardless of level, but I had no idea how far it went.

          • OMFG, can't believe what I just did. I hit the F5 key thinking it would refresh the chat in world of warcraft. I'm not sure if that means I'm spending too much time playing wow, or too much time posting here at poly. .

Although occasionally when I started up again, I kept thinking to hit the F5 key to quicksave the game. Or I was hitting Q to quicksave (as I was playing NWN2 and BG1 recently). Or sometimes I think about hitting the space bar to pause it.

Anyways chat is slow, can't find a party for Stockades. I'm getting frustrated. I hate it when I can't find a part. I'm a healer even. I guess I'll have to push through to 60 without doing any instances. boring. I might as well respec full retribution. Right now I'm a ret/holy hybrid. I think this is a dying server... grr. People need to stop having lives and playing more wow. oh well. I'll try again for the stocks on the weekend.

I did manage to get deadmines done. Crappy party with multiple pets tanking. One was a 36 hunter. yet we still wiped a couple times. I ended up blowing most of my mana healing the mage and myself. Pretty amazing though that after the mage left after the second wipe (he probably thought we were the cause, people never seem to realize when they are the cause); things went easy and even though the hunters pet aggro'd VC before we finished off the boss before him. I still had enough mana (just barely) to keep everyone alive till we took out VC and his guards.

moral of the story is: I hate crappy mages. I shouldn't have to heal them at all as far as I'm concerned.

People ahrdly ever do stockades, don't consider it as meaning no partying. Look to do parties at places people want to do...

                • Not sure where those places are though. I always used to see people looking for group for Deadmines and not much else, but lately I don't even see much of that.

It seems as though instances are few and far between, or perhaps done by guild who don't need outside help.

Perhaps one of the aftereffects of the most recent patch?

Healer type priests have a set of rules for instances which may be of some use to you.

                          1) If I die, it's the tank's fault.
                          2) If the tank dies, it's my fault.
                          3) If anyone else dies, it's their own fault.

Once people understand these rules, they tend to control their agro a bit better. After all, casting Resurection on mages takes less time than running back from a GY.

And male gnome mages make this hilarious noise when they die.

Levelling a healer is too much of a pain - you should just spec for damage until later in the game.

                            • Once you get to a higher level you can team up with a warlock to level as a healer. Warlocks have little downtime as it is, but they have absolutely 0 with a healer. The only limiting factor is looting.

                              • levelling is insanely fast anyways.

I can sneeze and go up a level.

edit: just finished Stockades. such a quick and easy instance. No reason not to do it . 3 Pallies, one priest, and a mage. Interesting party. We couldn't figure out who would tank or heal. I ended up dps'ing and off-tank with my pally.
