X-Box 360 and the lack of top tier games

Second impressions:

Played some more GoW last night. I am using the basic connections (after some playing around I managed to make it look acceptable) for a few days. I haven't played a shooter with a controller since Goldeneye so am a bit rusty.

Great game. And with impressively seamless co-op too.

Third impressions:

Mucked about with X-Box Live today, got Halo 2 working and briefly played some MP for GoW. I'll definitely be coming back to co-op for the hardest difficulty level I think.

I also downloaded the Castlevania game on XBLA which is really fun for those that like a bit of old style gaming in between manic firefights.

Yep, looks like some people got screwed with some defective models. Mine's the model that's not affected.

But at least it doesn't destroy your TV screen.

Yeah, its weird that there are 2 models on release....

I don't think it's too weird. They probably started manufacture quite some time ago, revised it before release.

I went to Best Buy and watched a PS3 NBA game and was floored by graphics

Then went around to the XBOX 360 and watch (I dont know the game name) a pickup basketball game in a Gymnasium, it looked awesome as well, reflections on floor boards and such.


I have PS2, I have read many threads and was wondering, I enjoy sports games (Football, basketball and possibly a Race Game) and want a fighting game such as Tekken or Virtual Fighter, which would you experts suggest I get should my Banker (My wife) authorize a purchase of?

Sports games are on all platforms, except the 2K games. Tekken and Virtua fighter are Sony exclusives, IIRC.
