One or two compilers felt they had a gut feeling in the ‘absence’ of clues that they could make sense of, and voted for A.N Prahlada Rao, who was not pleased. So off he went and did some research on poisons and found a reference a Stickley company, That was enough for Will9 and some others and so it came down to deciding vote. Meanwhile Timothy Parker and Jon Delpin who had the unpleasant task of sweeping up Berit were violently sick in the bathroom and had yet to come back.
Eventually Timothy Parker emerged and with a big smile voted for David Stickley . That was sufficient and so Stephen approached David.
'David' could I have a word'. 'S**T said David (4).
'You know what we all agreed, ' said Stephen ' I'd like you to share your experience with John Graham', as he guided David towards the Big Freezer.
'Look, I'll leave you two alone' said Stephen 'Anything to say before I go'.
'Yes, ‘ said David ' It’s the clerk’. ( 3, 8).

Well Craig pondered and pondered, ‘ It’s not difficult’ thought Timothy ‘ ‘RU blind’ he thought’ getting redder. ‘I need an answer Craig’, said Stephen, ‘ I see Red’ Timothy almost shouted out. ‘Ire’ said Craig. ‘Correct’ said Stephen.
‘Calm down, calm down’ thought Timothy to himself.
’Mark, yours’ said Stephen 1 Down, ‘Inflamed rage’? (7). ‘Hmmm’ thought Mark, but Timothy scented victory and was getting quite heated.

‘Will Shortz?, 14 across,' that’s a fifties ‘bargain neck look’ play?’ (4,4,2,5) asked Stephen. Will was puzzled. ‘Let me guess, you’re thinking like, Polo ?’, teased Stephen.
Timothy Parker was by now, enraged about the range of questions, and very red faced.
‘Ok Tim, no more waiting, your clue, 7 down,’. ‘You’re furious to locate this. In Erin Yes?’(6).
This was like a red flag. Timothy Parker said ‘for f**k sake the clues for the other contestants were easy, This is outrageous. You cannot be serious. You cannot be f**king serious, man. Answer my question jerk!.’
By now all could see Timothy was getting more inflamed and they guessed about to explode. To everyone’s surprise, he did just that. Exploded, all over the place and to places that Berit hadn’t reached.

Will Shortz and Mark Kelmanson discussed the death..
‘By the look of him he has been poisoned. The poison seems to have effected his mind and metabolism’ said Will. ‘Yes’, said Merle ‘ We all noticed that everytime a clue was mentioned it triggered an increase in his anger level and redness of skin’.
Stephen said. ‘It could only have been one of us’. We really need to sort this out ourselves, before it hits the media. Nobody leave the convention. Look, you are all bright people and you are surrounded by clues. Choose someone.
