The words "diverged from" DO NOT mean the same thing as "evolved from;" you're still saying we evolved from insects, which we clearly did not. We evolved from a common ancestor with the insects half a billion years ago. Look a little to the left of and below dinomischus left of where it says 550 m years. Deuterostomes in red-orange (leads to us) diverged from proterostomes in beige (leads to insects) right there. Magenta diverged from beige a little further along and that takes you to the insects at 400 m years. The watery ancestors of birds, reptiles, mamals, marsupials and amphibians came to land between 270 and 380 m years ago, looong after anthropods (insects) did.
