I don't particularly like their addition to the game, either. It should just be GDI vs. NOD, and none of this alien plasma tentacles nonsense

Alien interference has been implied since the first game in that the tiberium had to come from somewhere. Don't like it? Don't play the game. It's their product and they've decided to flesh out the backstory to finally explain the origins of tiberium.

But I don't like the fact that these aliens look like insects. Why can't aliens look similar to humans, why insects? I mean WE evolved FROM insects, probability points out that the same would happen on other planets.

Erm, Humans and related animals diverged from the predecessors of insects somewhereabouts 550 million years ago, not evolved from them.

Ever had a wasp pissing you off when you try and sit in the park to relax? Giant insects are just inherently more evil so it makes sense to make an evil alien race insectoid rather than human.

Evolution is beside the point.

these guys are tiberium based/have some relationship with tiberium, and don't come from the same environment as us. One of the things that tiberium might make possible is for more resource intensive life forms(giant exoskeletons since they have gobs of resources right there on the surface for instance).
