Does look like a really fun game, will pick it up as soon as I can find it and get my pay at the end of this month.

I picked it up yesterday and am having a blast with it. Some people complain that it's dumbed down from RT 2 & 3, while others (like me) love that it's been simplified. Gamespot's forums are pretty active with defenders and whiners, and Dan Magaha is on there to field questions and find out what the populace thinks. It's a good place to get a feel for the game. Just ignore the trolls and you should be okay.

I remember traveling as a kid on a train with a real locomotive..what fun!!..I would hope since I read that the graphic optimization is closer to Pirates than Civ 4 that my Nvidia 6200 should run it fine.

Picked it up today, haven't really had a chance to play much yet. For some reason, though, my water graphics are all screwed up. Upgraded my drivers to the latest, and it still looks bad. Anyone else had this problem? Using a Radeon 9800.

Ok, this is ridiculous. Third time I went to start the game, it gave me this message:

Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000).

I just paid $40 for the thing, let me @#$(*^ play it! And they say copy protection doesn't ever cause any problems...

I had this happen on a couple of occasions with other new games and had to clean surface of Disc off..just sharing what happened in my case

It seems to work if I reboot the computer. Apparently I just can't load the game twice on a single boot... *sigh*

I am playing learning,peaking and tweaking my gamestyle and then start over

I am currently playing the Northwest scenario, lots of fun

I do love the Patents but need to learn how I am coming upon them


This looks to be a little complex learning for a new Railroad Builder such as myself but not so that one cant learn

I love how you have grades,mountains,hills and flatlands and have to overcome rivers as well

Lots of goods and services to trade to make monies included
