Btw, how do you refine your minerals? I have perfect refining for all ore types and when I can get more than an hour in-game, I will be able to finish the skill to perfectly refine loot as well. So basically I am offering to refine for you and take a lower cut of mins than the station takes from you.

Depends. The offline skill training helps with that, but it's still an MMO and you will soon reach a point where playing only a short amount will prove troublesome.

IO can do level 3 missions in less than an hour and they are good safe money makers

I started the 14 day trial this weekend and am pretty impressed with the game. I feel like a gnat in the massive expanse of space. That is good.

I went heavy into science which in retrospect seems like I should have focused on something else. Like combat or mining but I am making due.

The game has crashed on me a couple times, one of which was during the flight tutorial which I had almost completed. So I redid it.

I do like the skill training when you are not online but I still don't know how the skills relate to one another. Maybe there is a chart somewhere?

I bought a Condor and am now trained enough to equip missiles and a rail gun. The tutorial pirates were easy enough with just the Ibis but I am wondering how combat is against a harder foe. Is it more than target and blast away?

I did venture into 0.4 space with no weapons by accident. Someone targeted me but I was outta there before anything happened.

The game seems relatively slow. This might be due to the fact I have to read everything and try to understand what things do, or maybe it is slow. I know I have a lot of time to read things when I'm jumping between solar systems.

I'll see how I feel when the free2 weeks are up.

No I dont refine my own minerals, I store them in the corp hangar, and guildies refine it for me. Especially when I load a minican full of scordite, then I just sell it to the corp.

When I ninja mine Golden Ombur, and Pristine Jaspet, a guildie thats maxed out refines them for me and I sell direct to the highest bidder on the market.

Corp gets my hi sec rocks

I keep my lo sec ones.

That will change as I progress, Im sure.

I have only been playing for a month, been working on the learning skills, with a few sidetracks here and there. Setting myself up to be either a proficient hauler or miner first, then going for max learning, then branching out from there.

Well after I got destroyed on a mission I decided to go miner for a little while. So much to learn about this game though. So far I'm enjoying it.

What Mission?

If its "The Worlds Collide" or something close to that just drop it, its harder than some L2 missions.
