Colon, its like I am in around 70 gmaes between CTP,CIVIII Conquests and CIV IV & Warlords

I very rarely win, but I challenge anyone to have as much fun as I

Same with SimCity3000, I enjoy it very much, just need to continue learning curve

I have to learn why my Industril area's and Commercial areas turn brownish and run down?

But, After tanking your advice (which I do so very much appreciate, Thanks!) I was able to realize where my starting problems were, OVER EXPENDITURE on wrong projects!

Look forward to finding some more time to play and Yes I will post screenies

Well, there is in my opinion, a HUGE difference between simcity 3000 and SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition, which is simcity 4 and simcity4 rush hour, which I have

I started playing this evening and will get familiarized with the outlay and start a game for real

          This is simply awesome

I see why you had all them skyscrapers now

This is gonna be some major fun

until of course middle of month when I get my Sid RR Game

Now it's me who's having troubles with brown buildings. Chunks of the western part of my city are getting abandoned "due to commuting time". Thing is though that the areas in question are right next to an industrial zone and none of the roads leading into are congested. Bit frustrating.

City Life is not even close the quality of SimCity games:
                  - There are very few building graphics, which makes the city look the same nomatter where you are
                  - There are very few maps to chose from, not possible to make your own. All the premade maps are boring IMHO
                  - The games economic model is a joke, making money is easy
This space is empty... or is it?

I saw copies of it at Super Target; it's made by a different company and I was not too impressed by what I have read about it.

Anyway, you want to know more, Google it.

Or at least anything more dodgy than dialing down civic funding to the minimum needed (and since that feature exists, it's surely meant to be used and hard to play without it...).
But its the closest thing to mathematical perfection and maximum efficiency. I typically end up with a 100% land, totaly flat map totaly covered for max density...

But theres hope! Last game i used light residential, and did some light roleplaying

However Toll Booths are not a balanced feature - I've had commuters go through upwards of a dozen toll booths in one commute, I think I might have managed two dozen once. The point is, that they don't realize they are being taxed by toll booths, it's just a penalty to commute time. Toll Booths are clearly actually a very broken feature and don't fit within the economics of SC4, thus I don't really use them, or only in extreme moderation.

Forgive me the rant, but SC4 sure is crashing on me a lot.

Could an expert tell me what's the highest average commuting time that's still acceptable? I'm having problems with abandonment due to commuting time again, even though there are NO traffic jams in my city (pop 25,000) and even though I have industrial zones near residential and commercial zones scattered all around.
