You wouldn't like it - it isn't a real game.

I'm looking forward to playing Oblivion. I have new parts for the computer, but need to wait until the weekend before I can actually get to put them together.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Let's see here: (no particular order)

          Bioshock
          STALKER
          Splinter Cell: Double Agent
          Medieval: Total War 2
          Civ 4: Warlords
and possibly the Galactic Civ II expansion pack.
Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.

Oh, let me also add "Supreme Commander". I don't normally like RTS, but the strategic level of this game appeals to me.

Civ4 Warlords as soon as it comes out (Civ games are just about the only ones I will pay full price for).

EU3 - although I will probably wait until it has been out for around 3 months after release to see what the feedback/comments are like.

Medal of Honor:Airborne Assault - purely because I recently bought MoH:Pacific Assault as a £5 budget game and liked it. Perhaps not the best FPS around (Call of Duty series seems to be regarded as better) but pretty decent. I won't pay full price for this one though so that means waiting until mid/late 2007.

Ah cool - i didnt know that. Sytem Shock2 is probably still the best FPS i've played

                  he he - well remembered
Well from mine and others experience with it, it seems if you liked the TES series and have played a few of them(Arena,Daggerfall,Morrowind) - then Oblivion has a high chance of dissapointing you once the 'ohhh look pretty graphics' stage has worn off.

Its the least complicated game in the series so far in most of the important rpg areas - a good action adventure game, but not a good TES game by all accounts(bar from the fan-boys).

The fact you really struggle to find any bad pre-views or reviews about it in the press is frankly quite suspicious. If you wait for some proper patches and the better mods it could be a great game.
So you're wise to wait - it has little re-playability and all those who rush through it now will most likely not be bothered to re-play it with all the patches+mods.

Yes Medieval 2 - I never got Rome, but i quite liked Shogun+Medieval, so i hope it wont just be another slightly dumbed down game with pretty graphics(as i heard Rome was). I will probably get it, being a sucker for historic strat games.

And Gal Civ II+ expansions - that reminds me i do have another game to get asap - Gal CivII, so thanks for the reminder

There are a few games I could get excited about, like Fallout 3, NWN 2, Lord of the Rings Online etc. Unfortunately I don't have any good information on any of them, so i'm not getting my hopes up. Nostromo lists a few more that could be interesting too. Lets hope a few turn out to be worth playing.

Dominion's II is my favorite TBS for multiplayer PBEM games. A few of us here played some PBEM games a while back. Perhaps we can get another one started.

IIRC you'll be waiting for a little bit for that one.

Or rather than the vast majority of people like something you don't like is something you find suspicious?

Maybe we should find you suspicious .

I don't like play by email, too slow. Once you start to loose, its painful to keep it going for ages :/.

I liked the single player just fine.

The three games I'm looking forward to is Warlords (Civ IV, need I say more, Spore (or as some call it: SimEverything) and The Settlers II - The Next Generation (stupid name... but let's just hope the game is as good as The Settlers II)

This space is empty... or is it?
