So what PC games are you going to buy?

Can't really think of anything in the close future. Well, Warlords, but that's granted. Spore I'm not interested in, Oblivion I already have. I haven't bought the HL2 episode yet, though it's out. Then again, looks like I need an upgrade first anyway, at least to run Oblivion properly.

Maybe I should consider the GalCiv2 expansion.

Well, for the laptop, I actually COULD go buy new games, rather than scrounge the bargain bins. Not the latest 2006 games maybe, but stuff thats still on the regular shelves. But not real inclined to, as I still have gameplay left on Divided Ground, Age of Kings, EU2, and Victoria, and havent even installed HOI yet. So only thing I will probably buy for it soon is the Sims (for POTM) - what xpack collection depends on what I see available at what price.

I did see that theres going to be a collection of all the TW series offered soon - since i dont own any of them, but have heard such good things, thats pretty tempting.

And I will probably pick up Civ3. Saw it for $6, but that was only the original game, and I want it with all the Xpacks (and patched?)

Soon I will need gameplay for the dino. Im playing Roller Coaster Tycoon, and not yet tired, but I can see where theres a limit to the gameplay. Other game ive got is Monkey Island4, which I still dont want to play out of sequence (though I might) (of course I could go back and try to finish day 2 of Gettysburg on SMG)

For the dino, if i go to the bricks and mortars retailers, its whatever I can find bin diving. I saw a "fantasy collection" that was Kohan (the old one) and Dominions, might pick that up. HL if find it. BG2 maybe.

Alternatively I might go the Amazon rout, which would mean I could look for specific older titles. In which case I might round out my historical TBS collection by getting Colonization. Or get Kohan, or one of the fantasy TBS titles. Or go for one of the many historical wargames on my list, like Combat Mission, or TOAW. or, if could find Monkey Island 1 through 3, Id get that. Depends what I find.

There are several games in my wait and see catagory (EU3, spore), but the ony one that makes into my must buy list is Dominions 3.

When is Dominions 3 out? I did try one of the earlier ones(might have been the first - it was a long while ago), and it was ok in a confusing interface kind of way(maybe i will try harder with the new game)

What do people make of the recent RTS/historic/mythic type games that i often see on the store shelves but dont really know about.

To make it easy thats games like 'Titans Quest':

I think there have been a fair few of these, and i always pass them by. Many of the more recent games like them have been very poor, so it's difficult to tell with this new bunch?

One of the only console games i'm interested in at the momment, and will probably buy a PS2 for(when the PS3 comes out and i can get one for £40) is the game 'Okami'

Its from capcom and is described as a zelda type rpg game but based in japanese mythology and you control a wolf. The art work looks amazing(if you like traditional japanese art). So there was a shout for the console crowd - probably my last one though

They are shooting for going gold this summer, it may get postponed, but I would be surprised it it is not out before the end of the year. They improved the interface to reduce mm quite a bit between Dominions 1 and 2, hopefully Dom3 will continue along that path.

Ah this slipped by me! Yes i will gladly add SettlersII v2 to my small but growing list of (hopefully) good upcoming PC games

so far:

6. Dragon Age(if it ever comes out!)
7. Settlers II(v2)

Dominion3 i'll keep an eye on - i also feel the series has always had something missing to really pull me in, probably the building/management that has been mentioned - even though i can see why it doesn't have that aspect.

Anyway my list has improved from the origonal one(just one game - Spore), so good job so far and thanks for the suggestions/reminders - i'm not feeling so down on PC gaming anymore

Okay, I am now getting disappointed indeed, because I don't have any upcoming games on my list right now. None in the "damn-must-get-it" category, maybe a couple in the "might-maybe-pick-it-up" category. Like the GalCiv2 expansion. Because I really like Stardock and Brad. Grrr.
