that depends on mood. Now that ive finished Starcrfaft, im having fun with AOK, which POTM also likes - ive started the Joan of Arc campaign, shes still finishing the william Wallace campaign.

I took EU2 off the dino and loaded it on the laptop, where it plays MUCH more smoothly. Since im not gonna play two paradox games at once, ive taken Vickie off.

And when i want something turnbased, i play Divided Ground. Ive finally won the "Hill of Evil Counsel" scenario. I forget what the next one is - they suggest going by difficulty level not in chronological sequence.

and on the dino, now that im done with SC, im dabbling with RCT, and Crown of the North (yeah, I know thats paradox too, but the dino is a different story)

Patrician 3 is dead boring. Don't get me wrong it's fun for a few hours, but it's so repetitious, and slow that it kills replay value.

          I've been exclusively playing Civ4, Space Empires 4, and X-Com 1-3 now.

Going with older games as they seem to be easy to mod.
Call to Power 2. Poor AI out of the box but die hard fans put alot of work into game and its still being improved.
Superpower. Put out by Golemlabs in 2003.Also had its problems but a very hard work fan base made many new builds to sharpen AI tactics. Its a classic and hope they return to make SP3
AGE of Empires 2: just perfect and fun to play .

                  Have to some extent.

We didnt get the USB mouse for the laptop yet, and i finally decided while playing "The Cleansing of the Loire" scenario from the Joan campaign, that playing this game without a real mouse is absurd.

So right now Im playing Divided Ground on the laptop. Exclusively.

Finished "The Hill of Evil Counsel" and "Etzion Convoy" scenarios, and am struggling to win the "Crisis of Overconfidence" (AKA Ismailia - 73) scenario.

On the dino, ive finally grown bored with Crown of the North, and am playing Roller Coaster Tycoon exclusively. Playing desert dunes scenario, and have taken a stab at designing simple rides.

Imperialism is an amazing game if you haven't played it before.

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

First of all, there is no wallace campaign, thats a tutorial and one my 8 year old cousin has won (really) and next the campaigns that ship with the game are horrible :/ check out heavengames.com, aok2 section, for some fantastic stuff like the 'kings best men' etc...i am not recieving payback of any sort from referals

and besides that SC\Age series\warcraft\ron pretty much are tactical games, not strategy... :/

Campaign, tutorial, whatever. In the first AOE they called the tutorial a "learning campaign" - but if youre hung up on what words Ensemble uses to describe a group of linked scenarios, I cant hardly help.

And yeah, I know about heavens games. Back when I was into the first AOE i dled some campaigns from there. In fact i posted a thread here about the campaigns by Imhotep and Farrel, at least once. I dont recall you responding.

However I like to play through the campaigns that ship with the game. I havent found them to be terrible.

BTW, POTM is 14, and hardly ever plays electronic games, so I think shes doing just fine.

Also Ive put the game aside since making the above post.

Er, I know that. Divided Ground is ALSO a tactical game, since units are platoons, and hexes are one quarter of a km. And TOAW, for example is played at the operational level, not the strategic OR tactical level. Nonetheless in the GAMING world RTS games, as well as tactical TB wargames like DG, etc are considered part of the strategy genre. Do you really want to debate why? In any case, you dont need to go all grognard on me.

The point of RCT is to have fun, which Im doing.
