i think it might be the same in PG2. But only applies if enemy unit is directly adjacent. If theyre not adjacent, but youre surrounded, you can not only get supplies (airdropped?) but even replacements.

        You can say that again!

i already have that, and have played it. Its not supposed to run on 48 Megs, but it does, albeit with some problems.

Not sure about that. I haven't let any of my units completely surrounded by the enemy.

Id really have to fire up PG2 again to decide if it was appealing enough to get PG3. Its not a priority, though.

I just got EE so I am no judge really, too early for me to make any really meaningful comment. OTOH, I got Combat Mission when it first came out and was VERY impressed by its gameplay. Its unique turn resolution system was a fantastic idea that really works well in a wargame.

LotM, if you are into wargames then CM is one that you will not want to pass up.

I would love to see a redo of combat missions, it could go for a graphics rehaul.

HOMM2 is good TBS, if its not too old for that time frame, I can't remember the date.

I have recommened the series to LotM before. I can't recall whether he took any notice though.

Oh yeah, Ive got the HOMM series floating somewhere in my mind, along with some other fantasy TBS.

OTOH ive not really played any fantasy TBS from before this period either.

I think Age of Wonders: Shadow magic is a better place to start, but with a new HoMM game coming out you may end up getting that, post upgrade.

At this point im thinking of Fantasy TBS mainly for the dino. My setting preferences are History - Sci Fi - Fantasy in that order. Right now for play on the laptop, ive got the Paradox games - and now ive a significant list of historical and Scifi strat games. And my access to the laptop is not unlimited.

On the dino, im still finishing the SP campaign for Starcraft, and ive got Roller Coaster Tycoon, and (Escape from Monkey Island (assuming it runs smoothly on the dino) Plus some left over game play on some games ive had longer.

But when im done with that i might come back and ask about fantasy TBS.
