Powermonger's ok. Not as fun as Populous, but not too bad.
Really bad ones: Megalomania (something like that) Disciples

I been playing since game started and have never, ever seen that
Well, that was a bit of a tall tale. If you must know, I attacked a one-tile island settlement with two men-of-war or ships of the line or whatever they're called. Battle screen pops up, and lo and behold, the garrison is one abolitionist. The woman, apparently armed only with a book, proceeds to survive the ranged attack from the ship in back, sink the ship in front, and damage the ship in back to half health before biting the dust. At exactly that point, I quit the game, and never played again. I consider that a good decision, and a regrettable purchase.
Lime roots and treachery!

Unreal Tournament 2003 - basically a beta version of the great UT 2004.
Rise and Rule of the ancient Empires - fantastic music and nice city graphics but total crap otherwise.
Sudden Strike 2 - I never understood how it works.
Time Commando - whoa what a load of crap.
Imperium Galactica and NFS High Stakes IIRC. Never got them working properly, could have been fantasticgames though.
Some crappy wannabe civ from 1996-97 thats name I dont even remember. Had a horrendous 3-D graphics system where the map would actually be a 3-D pixelicious globe that you could twist and turn.

Well it was until i got to level where you have to jump out the aeroplane. That's probably another thread though - games you thought were great until you realised how bad you were at them and got stuck.

snappy title
that's how I feel about Commandos and Sydnicate Wars. I just got stuck on missions, and didn't feel like playing anymore. Even when I looked up the way through the missions, I just wasn't talented enough to get the split second timing right (or I was doing something else wrong).
there are a lot of games I haven't played.. including Suikoden 4 and a number that I have only played the beginning of (Front Mission 4, Star Ocean 3, etc)..
JM
Loved Suikoden 4 ( I just bought 5 but haven't played it yet ), Front Mission 4, and Star Ocean 3.
Hated and returned MOO3.
Hated and stuck with Civ4 as most vendors these days won't accept used games anymore. I won't do ebay
