I hope not. I am not sure about them Firefly guys, but PopTop is rubbish. If Sid values his own reputation he should just use them for programming grunts and test dummies.

I was upset that they took out a bunch of features from the original. The worst is you couldn't build tunnels and you couldn't own your own factories.

However what did it was, in one scenario, the share price of my totally privatised company went down (how was that possible?) right before the end, screwing me the chance of winning. That was when I removed the game from my computer and my home, and put PopTop on the black list.

Who knows...since Take2 stock has gone down, I kinda doubt he cares about quality over money right now.

I know what you mean. I've never been a huge scenario fan, and didn't really play the C3C ones. Still, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on that one.

CivCity looks like a must have...

With Caesar IV and CivCity this is going to become a super good year for Roman citybuilding-simulation fans such as myself.

I'm curious about the gameplay of CivCity...in the Caesar-series you were often building up new cities in an existing empire, never the capital...which meant they could get away with your city having no influence at all on the empire as a whole...you could keep your city small and insignificant without consequences.

However if you're going to build the capital, then hopefully there are ways of influencing how the empire around it grows and develops. This could make it quite different and IMO more interesting than the Caesar/SimCity series.
<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

Why would Sid care about Take2? Publishers come and go, but Sid's always there.

Didn't they pay him in stock? Plus they OWN Firaxis now.

I'll probably give CivCity a shot. Sounds like it combines some of the best elements of the various games of the Caesar series, including the unparalleled history encyclopedia of Caesar 2.

                      Forget Railroads!, SMAC2, SimCiv, etv.

                      I want Colonization 2.

Don't matter. Sid had co-founded MicroProse.

Still took a bit of a hit economically when he left.

True. Though I don't think Sid's doing it for money, he is doing it for fun.

                                OOOOH! CivCity!

I've been itching for a new historical City Building game. I wonder what will be new in this one? Hopefully a bit more of a military focus. C3 made rasisng an army boring.

I'd like it to still focus primarily on city building and maintenance but jsut giving the military aspect a boost would be nice.

I loved Caesar 3, but I've never played a Sid Meier title before. I hope he doesn't **** it up. The promo shots, as always, look great though!
