Which don't help a great deal if you have only one computer and are upgrading it.

I got a GeForce 7800 GT card anyway.

Honestly it probably doesn't matter for "future", IMO by the time it's relevant they'll probably have one or two upgrades over PCIe anyway; the only advantage is a somewhat cheaper upgrade (you can buy a second cheaper card instead of buying an expensive new one)...

I'm going to do that. Probably an asus A8N-E MB (no sli), some value 2 Gb ram and a too expensive video card, likely a 7800gt. And this time a decent not too noisy PSU. Not sure about the CPU yet, dual core or not?Originally posted by DrSpike
