Not anymore, and hopefully previously-eliminated players won't be allowed to take over other people's empires either.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Look, I was GM then, so I could have just eliminated GeoModder for failing to send in orders (or kept him alive until someone else attacked him and eliminated him). Instead, I readmitted Sparrowhawk into the game. Therefore his win is flawless and cannot be disputed by petty argument such as this.

        There's no rule against it.

We can vote on it. For now it is allowed.

Yeah, it is (and was allowed), and it still counts as a victory, but it's silly not to note that two different players had control of the winning character at different points of the game.

I think Skanky noted it quite neatly in his GO History.

                  /me checks the thread...

                  Fine with me.

I still vote to disallow it in the future, though.

I support Skanky. Heck, if people leave mid game, and nobody not already in the game wants to take over, i'd rather have an eliminated person take over ... unless it was my worst enemy, in which case i'd cry foul

What about if there was an oob for SOME ships left to defend (but no Attack OOB)? Would the entire fleet have no oob, only the SOME ships have the oob defined for them, or the entire fleet have the defensive OOB? After all, you can't have more than 1 OOB on defense, right?

If there was a defensive OoB, then the entire fleet would use it on defence. If an attack is called off, it never happened, i.e. attack orders without an OoB are ignored.

                                That works for me.
