Personally, I've been quite convinced for two or three years that this game is a complete hoax and that it isn't even under development.

Kind of an elaborate hoax, putting together a fancy trailer, getting into a fight with the publisher, and "making up" game specifics.

It's mindblowing to think of all the ways the world has changed all the while DNF has been "in production". Not the least relevant is that the very distribution medium of PC games has changed from CDs to DVDs.

Actualy I do remember Duke 1 and 2. That humor, I mean abducted on a talk show ( but I suppose that happens in America sometimes ) I miss that humor and the movie references, it makes me sad to see political correctnes in every game these day's .

blah, games simply reflect reality like other domains such as the movies do. There's a majority of political correct movies, and there's a relatively small but still significant number that isn't like that. same thing with games

I think this is what you get when nobody is being driven by financial constraints. Blizzard felt they could take years to get WoW right but had the discipline to actually drive toward a conclusion, these guys just seem to be having fun building stuff with the latest tech and not caring if it ever sees public release.
