Agathon, the solution is simple. Get two guild members, and have them log on as Night Elf females in "plate armor." Then have them protest for their right to advertise lesbian-friendly guilds. You'll get massive numbers of sympathizers in no time, and Blizzard will be inclined to cave.

        Btw, for the Euro chaps:

How long has it been since the last PvE server was started? And how often do they start new ones?

A friend of mine was complaining that the game was unplayable because of the so-called lag. He recently bought 1 GB of ram (he used to have 512 MB) and he claims that everything's fine now. So the game didn't frequently slowed to a crawl mainly because of the lag, but because his PC wasn't quite up to the task.

well, Blizzard's biggest problem now seems to be the queues.

which i don't really get how that works. They say it prevents too many people from being in one place in the game world at the same time, but does that mean people randomly get kicked out?

            weird.

Well, lots of uninformed people confuse lag with poor performace.

My ISP is having troubles as well, so that might have contributed to the problem, but most of it is down to Blizz.

I don't think so. Old subscribers will cancel for a bit as they tire for the game, but they usually come back...especially during expansion packs.

WoW is still one of the top selling games.

Paging from the harddisk is the biggest cause of responsiveness lag/grinding/choppiness in Warcraft.

1GB is realistically the minimum for good WoW performance.

I used to play wow fine with 512 mb. but there were exceptions. mainly capital cities or large raids when many people are gathered. Ironforge was renamed Lagville for many months. the extra RAM I got made IF and Orgrimmar smooth as silk. and now with the latest patches all the nelfs and humanses are back where they belong and Ironforge is once more just for dwarves. I'll have a coke then

At least on my server, everyone on Alliance keeps congregating at IF anyway. There are always a few peeps down at the SW or Darnassus AHs, but most of the player-to-player trade still seems to take place in IF. Maybe it's just a habit, maybe IF is best connected of the Alliance cities, I don't know. The travel connections may be the reason why Darnassus is practically deserted, anyway. Mind, the server pop is also rather low ("Recommended"), that contributes.

oh and it's called "go into the light". I used the seal of righteousness on his ass.

I was worried since he was a level 27 Orc and I was 25.
