For a paladin, that's actually quite an achievement.

People have started "Is {insert leading MMOG here} dying?" threads for WoW already?

The reason is quite opposite when compared to the threads on other games, I'd say.

While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

"Mob" is a versatile word that may refer to any number of those dumb creatures in the game world that want to kill you when you aggro them. Controlled by AI, not players, I mean. I always thought "mob" was a plural noun, but most people seem to use it to refer to a "mob" of just one creature too.

2 months ago I would not have said this.

However, the technical problems with the game have ballooned over that time period. Insane lag, frequent disconnects and ridiculous server queues (even on medium pop servers like my main one). The Blizzard rep I spoke to when I cancelled acknowledged the technical problems, so it's not like I'm dreaming. For some reason the hardware they have cannot sustain the number of players. The World event led to mass farming and terrible loot lag, and the deserter buff would have been a good idea if people weren't being disconnected all the time.

I used to get good performance on my modest notebook, but even though I put in another gig of RAM, the performance is still degraded over what it was 3 months ago (and I did complete reinstalls as well).

                    I cancelled because I wasn't paying for a game that I couldn't reliably play.

There aren't any other major problems with the game itself. I suppose the lack of non-raid content at higher levels is the main one (because some people hate large guilds and raiding 15-20 people at once is the max I can stand), but the expansion will put in some more content for everyone else, and the current raid dungeons will probably be doable by a lesser number of level 70 characters (unless they scale them up).

Yeah. When I first started playing MMORPG it used to irritate me that people said mobs instead of mob for a group a baddies. But in fact it's short for mobile object, and therefore it is correct to say mob for one bad guy.

What evil trick did the Orc use to shrink the paladins head? Or are all paladins cranially challenged?
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

Ooh, that makes sense. Likewise, I thought it referred to a mob, as in "an angry mob sacked the Danish embassy".

                              there's another one: aggro.
                              short for aggravate?

agathon, i think it is the forest chain or something..i forget the exact name. might be from the greenwarden

I don't know about it being a "good game." I don't play it, but my roommate does, and it seems to be incredibly long and tedious. Just constantly killing X number of monsters to improve your reputation with tribe Y and slowly work up to enough gold to get a horse, and once in a blue moon you get a team together to do an instance run that isn't mostly idiots. Plus you get to wait for about five hours for a battleground to open up...

On horde side, the word "paladin" has some variant spellings -

                                m o r o n
                                i d i o t

There's no game in The Sims. It's not a game. It's like watching a tank of goldfishes and feed them occasionally. - Urban Ranger
