Right now you don't need to do that - after all you're protected by noob protection.
I pulled up to 1k score with a single scan and no raid attempts whatsover although my main planet at moments held up to 200k resources..

Hopefully it didn't hold those resources for too long (and as long as you really mean moments then I suspect you are okay in that!!

I try to keep my resources on all worlds as low as possible as I don't want to invite attack. Actually I want people to scan me when I have next to nothing on my planets (hopefully more then once) so that they realize I am active and using my resources and move on to a more profitable and less active target.

I agree with you that it is unneccessary for DRosedars to turn off his mining overnight, especially at this stage of his game, but it is also unneccessary for you to keep anywhere near 200k in resources on a planet at one time. You may think your defenses are strong enough but no matter what they are there is surely some player with enough forces to bring them down (even when you are still noob protected).

No worries Sparrow, I only had such an amount when I returned from weekend and also one morning after 10hours sleep..

I try to spend it but at this stage I simply don't know where to put my metal - have 150k and raising at main planet and 50 k on each of the colonies..
A bit later when I get to cruisers, I'll do some serious spending..

Does anyone know how this 'may not send resources without recieving anything in return' works?

I'd be ready to send 5metal for each deut Cata sends, but dunno if it's allowed..

I think it is.

Look in the OGame forums and look for Trade.

People are trading all the time.

But I don't know precisely how it works. It may need a mod approval.

In the trade section though you are offering to trade with anyone, not sure how it works within an alliance.

The way I understand trades is that they are allowed but must be within 24 hours of each other (the exchange of deliveries). When Skanky and I exchanged he suggested we both keep copies of the messages in case it should be questioned later by a mod. Sounded like good advice to me

Dunno. I can not keep copies as it seems messages older than 24h get automatically deleted.

Oops, I should have been clearer

I can't keep old messages either, I did both a cut and paste of the message and a print screen (screen shot). Not sure which is acceptable or even if either are but I thought at least that way I could keep the message in one form (and I assume they have some way of checking to verify if you send them the details) .
