If you mean because he isn't in the alliance yet, I don't see a problem. Not sure when Huejj will be online to accept his application, I don't see any reason to wait.

Unless you mean because you are way ahead of him, but I think someone said that the stronger can help out the weaker and taht the weaker couldn't help out the stronger players, but I haven't heard of anyone having trouble sending resources to anyone else

You can send goods to anybody I think.
Not being in the alliance is certainly not needed. The other day I got 25k Deut from somebody who attacked me with 75 Battleships

I am trying to figure out the various storage options and wondering if they are ever needed.

Originally I thought I would never allow myself to get near 100k in any of the three resources so I would never build them. Then earlier today I had to spend Metal before it got back to my planet as the arriving shipload would have put me over 100k and I thought I would lose it.

Now I see that Germanos posted being above on all three at one point. So now I am not sure what I need if anything.

As costs go up, it seems likely there will be times i will have or need 100k+ of all three resources, but do I need storage before I get to this point or do the mines just quit producing when you are above your storage limit??

Yes, the mines just stop producing.

Any recources that come in via ships will still be stored on the planet and can be used freely.

Im gutted I didnt send my cargos with my fleet, worried about losing the lot I guess and I didnt have speedsim where i was

glad to see the loot found a good home!

Skanky had pretty massive defences destroyed without damaging the attacker. It seems that defences are more to frighten off the little guys and wasted money to spend too much.

On the other hand he had to spend a significant amount of deuterium getting 200 battleships to my planet. If I had fleetsaved then he would have made a significant loss. Not raiding though is like playing through Guild Wars using only the starting weapon. Sure, you'll eventually do enough damage, but there are quicker ways.

Oh sure I'm raiding too, but only like a couple of times a day. Just before dinner, then by the time I'm done working that evening the fleets have returned to send off again overnight.

The planets are big producers, and I think they'll have 100k each by now...
Some where defenseless, the others don't have too much left.

Coordinate your attacks and attack in waves. (3 hits within half an hour)
