The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

What are you planning on doing with that cargo space, though? The ship is too slow (and expensive) to use for raiding, and any stuff they carry disappears when you use it to colonise a new planet. It will start with 500m 500c whether the ship is loaded up or not.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Noooooo!
I just send two loaded. Thought that they would unload on the planet. Crap, now a recall.
Strange that the server time is different in uni 3 than uni 8. At least they could display it on the fleet page, or am I missing something.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.
I still have way too much metal. I just authorized research for armour level 8 at a cost of 128k metal, and still have plenty to spare. Crystal is slowly getting to a much more useful level but deut is still painfully low.
Good thing you found out about colonies the easy(er) way rather than losing all those resources with the ship.

Yeah, thanks...you saved me on that one...I think?
Only becuase I was done for the night, now I fell like I have to wait until the first one comes back (the second one already did cuz I just sent it). The first one was almost there.
Man I wish my cash cow system was closer, it is 71 systems away from home. There are two planets where I send 90K of cargo space and they are still coming back full.

How do you find out about other alliances and how ours ranks? I have seen someone ?Germanos? posting our ranking, and also how big other alliances are, but I don't see anywhere to find this information myself.
Also.....when did you guys start researching? And when you did, what did you start with? Computers? Energy?
I have a bunch more questions, but I will start with those two, and see if I can't find out some of the others myself

You can check that on the Statistics page. We are ranked 285 and and rising. Also take a look at the Alliances page.
In the beginning, home production rules. Your only income source is your mines. The next source of income you have is from undefended planets. Your first goal in research is to get yourself to the point you can produce cargo ships.
Next, due to the fact that blind attacking is risky, you will want to be able to produce probes. After that, anything that helps you loot faster is good. This includes higher espionage levels, faster engines, computers so you can have more fleets going simultaneously.
The third stage is where you take resources off defended planets. Unless there are minimal inactives around, you won't be here for a while.

Sparrowhawk:
I can do the first scans around your SolSys once you get to the stage of producing Cargo ships. That sjould take you a day or so (maybe two)
Don't build any infrastucture for building ships untill you have something like lvl 7 mines. The shipyard and Robotics factory just take out recources in the start. Better invest them in Mines untill you have a decent production. You will also need to research techs. Start that up relatively late as well.
If I'm not online, I'm sure somebody else will be happy to provide you with some intel on undefended planets.
@ Sparrow:
Atragon is quite close to you (3:421:12). He will probably have info on undefended planets near you anyway.
When you start raiding even small tartgets will be great, and I'm sure that in a day or so Atragon can't be bothered with them anyway . Contact him in time as well.
Getting your own planets lets you raid in your own time and reduces the risk that someone has come back online between the scan and your raid. Of course, if others scan for you before you can it is certainly an advantage.

I think I have overdone my crystal/deut boost a bit.
Empirewide I have now 71k M/ 118k C/ 44k D
Re: Colony ships: I had this ghost colony ship returning home while it in fact HAD founded a colony. Closer inspection has revealed that what did come back was an escorting Cruiser that I had send with the colony ship for first defense.
DON't do that folks! The worst thing was that the cruiser travelled back at colony-ship speed

I fully concur. Only rely on other players spy-reports for the first raids, and invest the loot immediately in your own spying capabilities
