edit: I did attack him this morning though, so that might be the reason he dropped some points

    Defender tester (3:133:11)
    Destroyed

The attacker has won the battle!
    He captures
    16591 Metal, 4663 Crystal and 3220 Deuterium

The attacker has lost a total of 0 Units.
The defender has lost a total of 14000 Units.
At these space coordinates now float 2100 Metal and 2100 Crystal.

    Good loot as well

    • WTF?

      I just lost 7 probes

They still managed to send in a spy report

      • The fleet delivers 12358 metal, 1079 crystal and 223 deuterium
The fleet delivers 5966 metal, 1579 crystal and 315 deuterium
The fleet delivers 12036 metal, 2149 crystal and 442 deuterium
The fleet delivers 11918 metal, 3149 crystal and 627 deuterium

And now my cow is all milked dry.

4 hours until cruisers, then I'll start smashing up the defenses of weaker players (who are also foolish enough to have large stockpiles of stuff).

        • I'm still milking all the cows around my system. There are quite a few of them. I've put off recycling for a while due to lack of resources being there by the time my ship makes its sloth-full way over. In other news, I have two colonies and both are to be crystal exporters with enough deuterium production to be able to transport to my main colony often. Maybe even get them up to metal mine level 2.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

          • Heh. My colonies are kicking ass in the kris/duet department. I shipped them each 20K of plundered metal. I'm increasingly seeing the need of duet mines, seeing as the stuff is hard to plunder.

            • I'm sending my first 17 ship raid to pillage a hugely rich planet. When this baby comes back I'm gonna have to make huge investments in the Shipyard and Research Lab to absorb the cash flow.

This game is a pretty cool economic simulator.

              • did my first proper raid against a target with defence -

One of your fleets (Small Cargo Ship:3 Light Fighter:10 Heavy Fighter:5 ) returns from 4:435:8 to lagcity [4:442:11] . The fleet delivers 5031 metal, 2657 crystal and 4442 deuterium

                happy with that

In this respect I give the advice to people who are about to found their first colony to settle in their OWN SolSys!

You will be able to quickly transport deut/crys to their main (research) planet and get the technology running!

In fact I've deceided to found my third in my SolSys because transport takes up to many fleet-slots, thus reducing the ability to raid

                  • I've started a colony on slot 15 so I can bump up deuterium mining too. It is in the same system as my main base, no less.

I figure in the latter half of the game I will need refueling stations around the galaxy for force projection, but at this point in time I need quick resources and colonies that don't waste too much of my fleet-slot times. Besides of which, I'm going to abandon these colonies soon enough when I actually need colonies with more than 150 fields.

                    • Just about got my first cruiser. I think i'm going to attack a nearby newbie. But I'm not sure it's moral, I mean the value of his stuff that I'll be wrecking would exceed the value of the loot.

                      • It seems that the alliance is gaining militairy capabilities.
I have 3 cruisers in reserve, and some heavy Fighters as well (that fullfill an escorting role for my raiders).

If need be, I'll happily strike at any agressor to an alliance member.

                        In other news:
Uni9 gets its first inactives, which is nice.
The loss of my probes earlier probably had to do with the counterespionage of 11%. Perhaps this number is related to the chance that planet defenses (or orbiting vessels?) intercept incoming probes.

I raided the guy who attacked me earlier and I gained a small loot.
I've offered him a truce now, as he attacked me with a heavy fighter, and I don't want an armes race to develop.

                        • the guys in my galaxy (planets 9 and 10) are attacking my colony, not sure why there's no res and no defence. however when my main fleet returns, i can strike and destroy some of their defences, while their ships are returning.

                            • I think I just screwed up big time.

I was raiding three planets in a solar system, each with about 100,000 resources. But they're all owned by the same guy. When he comes back, I'm dead.
