    Nope, because I haven't got Combustion 2 yet. I've got Impulse 2, for the fighters, but not combustion. I really ought to research lasers first, because I'm sure that as soon as I venture beyond my planet, the guy with 9 planets in my solar system will come looking for me, and I'd prefer some defence.

      If he shows up in red (in pink actually) in the galaxy screen, I think he can't touch you. (noob-protection) Certainly you can't hit him.

      Likewise for greens on the screen, you can't attack them either, since they are to weak

                      I put all my mining activities on hold and plan to spend almost all of my resources into research. There won't be much left for him to take.
