Ah, eyes, I was wondering what that was about. Using sup runes on headgear is smart, that way you have a specialised +4 item to use when you need that particular stat boosted.

Btw, Europe is doing astoundingly well in the HoH lately; did they change the system or did Spike the Traitor get worse? I've been having a blast in UW yesterday with two quite competent groups, we did a lot of quests and I won an Ecto too. I was there quite long, must have been about 6 hours in three runs.

actually certain monk builds love having low HP, they shoot for 55

You can replace your major runes with superior ones and the armour will remain infused.

As for favour I'm not playing atm (moving, no broadband), so perhaps that explains Europe's recent good form.

Hehe, seriously, many top Euro guilds (including mine) are slowly switching back as the players get bored of FoW/UW.

Back when protective bond hadn't been nerfed, at 55 hp the damage you received was negligible, since it was percentual. Now it's still negligible, but the energy loss is not. This, of course, was really only good for PvE, mainly UW soloing is what I think it was used for.

Well there are loads, but they use SUPERIOR runes. Major runes are poop.

Now, for monkage major runes aren't necessarily poop. The HP not lost can be beneficial in pvp, since you're the target anyway.

I meant PvP in my original post ... PvE, it's okay I guess, but still a waste imo, no reason to take that chance that a random mob grabs you and deals 50hp in one hit ...

Or like 250, like the Aatxes in UW. Which love to pummel the monks, if the Warriors suck at blocking.

Yeah, the loss from Bond is not really sustainable. With 16 in Prot you could push it down to 2 before they nerfed it, IIRC, and with Balt's Spirit and, hmm, Essence Bond? you could balance it out. Of course this was only the popular "internet uw solo build".

PUGs

I'm discovering the joys of PUGs. Many groups are actually pretty good, with players who know the quests and who do them fairly slowly.

However, in almost every group, there is one dumbass warrior (always a warrior, and always one person) who won't follow the group, and who'll basically plunge among the enemies without thinking. Thus putting the whole group in danger. Is it normal? Or are you used to PUGs with even more dumbasses than one?
