Yeah, I remember that it was Spaced that it was an issue with and I do think it was the special power issue involved so maybe this is still consistent.

What was the reasoning behind no crashes in the pits? The track is just as wide and it is not like they do have issues with this in RL.We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.Comment

Just thought there should be a safe haven. I also didn't want oil slicks in the pit area. I figured it would be a logical place for bunching up and a couple of crashes with oil could have made the pit unuseable. I was thinking of having pit crews throw sand or forcing people to use SBs. With all the possible combinations I figured it was probably just easier to not have crashes in the pit. Totally personal preference. Not based on RL. And even though the pit speed limit is 6 and cars don't come to an actual stop, I'm assuming low speed bumps that wouldn't cause much damage.
Many different ways of saying I don't know why I created that rule.
