Wow, I am now back from my 2 week holiday, and the game that I thought I shouldn't sign up for (this Nascar game) I didn't end out missing a turn (thanks to relatives letting me use computers, hotels with computer access and internet cafes) thank Rah for offering to fill in while I was away 
, or I wouldn't have signed up and never would have found out that I wouldn't have missed a turn anyway

EFFECTIVE as soon as you pass the ====== at the END of sand trap alley.
The extra speed generated from an S command (+1) can be used even if it exceeds
your max speed. If it does exceed your max, your end speed will show as your
normal max again and you not have to brake to start the next turn. If it
doesn't exceed your max, it will be added to your end speed (just like it does now)
