You can start over? I also had a theft, seems like that is quite rude! time to buy a screw driver and start over, but if everybody steal from everybody, then...WTF is the point.

Cashington has only just appointed it's first officer - our very own Ramsses I've had an attempt at a steal but it failed. Plus I now have a huge shop with a turnover of over 1000 in a day

I just got busted for stealing, which made my cash go negative. I was successful on my first attempt and got some really good stuff. Shouldn't have pressed my luck.

Anyway, I suspect that a pretty good strat to keep the thieves away is to never have more goods in your shop than the cost of a screwdriver.

        Drogue,

Where did you get 1000 in goods to sell?

I bought lots, searched for resources, specialised in iron and made lots. I undercut everyone, made about 300, then did it again and upgraded my shop. Now have a 12m^2 warehouse and a 4m^2 shop

So far the federal government's bought over 1200 from me and quite a few others have a couple of hundred. Iron costs me less to make than anyone else - I import wood for around 1 ISH, buy iron ore for 5 ISH and it costs me 1 ISH to make it, yet I get 19 for it because mosty people pay 3 for wood, 5 for ore and 4 to make it. I monopolised wood when all the cheap stuff went

And I'm now making a killing on gold. Someone in Centropolis has it on sale for 4.95. I sell it for 20 and it goes quite well. I bought 30 (all) of them so when that goes, should be a nice profit

              Where do you import from?

I guess I'm not quite figuring things out...and how would I start again and still get a lot on the street.

I take a taxi to Centropolis and check out the shops there. Much more competition = much lower price. I wouldn't bother starting again. As long as you can build a shop, it's easy to get going. Just get a lot with some resources and a spade/saw/planks and get some resources. Or buy from cheap places and sell for more.

I have a bunch of iron ore for sale, you want to buy it for me?

Besides what I have in my shop I also have around 60 or so in my warehouse and another lot with ore.

How does the gov end up buying your stuff, or does that just happen?

How do you tell who bought your stuff?

Looks like somebody cut me some slack and donated 200 to me now I'm at least positive.

You can tell who bought your stuff with the top customers thingy in your shop.

The Feds bought a bunch of my iron ore.

If I can get back to Cashington I'm up for a load of Iron Ore. How much is it?

okay I took a taxi, but by the time I go the item back to my shop, I didn't have enough cash to get back myself

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
