Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Better heads is the most important mod, with better bodies coming second. IMO. You see their heads more often and the better heads mod makes a significant difference.
Regarding training, the easiest way I have heard to level up is to find a spell that reduces a skill to 1. Then train that skill. Rinse, repeat, get it up to 100 while paying only 1 gold each time. That said, I would regard that as cheatery.
Currently I'm attempting to play the game getting 5/5/1 without any training at all. I got to a very high level with my previous character without any training and most skills are at 100 now, but I didn't understand the levelling system then so mostly got 1's or 2's for multipliers.
Oh, and I forgot that my previous analysis did not take into account favourite attributes. Basically you get to add 10 to any two attributes you choose. Obviously, luck should be one of them as it takes a minimum of 10 levels to get that amount of luck, while the other attributes only take 2 levels.

I'd hold off on mods if your system RAM is less then 512MB. I had a computer with 384MB and mods like GIANTS and Morrowind Comes Alive made MW crash alot.
Also, Giants really changes gameplay for low level characters. You can't walk the roads as a level 1 character since Nix-Pack Hounds will rip you a new one.
I suggest you read the info at the bottom of my Morrowind Page, here . It will help reduce your crashes.
I have a computer with 2GB and the only mod I use it MCA. Although I made a couple of other plugs that disable all those Undead creatures that were added for no good reason. I hate it when mod creators try to add extra stuff.

I've been levelling my character up enough so that I could grab for myself a Robe of St Roris, and sure enough at level 10 I was good enough to manage stealing it. Somehow since the last time I grabbed it, though, it has changed from CE to cast manually.

That robe was "fixed" early on. There was problem with the CE. Some people had to keep reequiping it to get the effect. At least they fixed Fury. Man that was one b**** of a sword to use before they fixed it.

I found a strange error last night. I had a strength of 95 and levelled my strength skills up by exactly 10 so I could get my strength attribute up by 5 while I levelled. When I did level though, my strength stat didn't have any multiplier. The thing is that when my endurance attribute was at 95, I managed to get a 5x multiplier to get it up to 100, but not with strength. Strange.
Thankfully, we still have the console.

When you have a 5x you cant get from say 95 to 100....or so im told. its intentional IIRC.
although that raises the Q why endur did it(95>100) and not str but just repeating what ive read b4.

Thats the thing - it isn't consistant. It did do it with endurance, so tis rather strange.
A couple of years ago, one of the Devs on the offical forums tried to explain how the mutiplier system worked. There's a lot of exceptions to the rules, and I don't really remember much of it.
For example, the total number of multiples won't be above 5 (3x str, and say 2x for speed for example), but then, you can have all your attributes (except luck) get 2x, with one 3x.
The only real rule is that no attribute can be raised by more then 5x.
I have no idea if this is fixed in "oblibion", as I lost interest with it many months ago after the first "fan interview" was released.

Multipliers are simple enough. Each two skills raised under a certain attribute will give you a multiplier. So if you raise medium armour by 6 and spear by 3 (both endurance skills) you will get 4x multiplier for endurance. To get a 5x multiplier, you need to have 10 skills raised for that attribute.
And apparently, have your attribute at 94 or less.

Only reporting what I remember. As the Dev said (I'm not sure if it was MSFD or Kathode), that there are exceptions thrown in because they wanted to stop people from leveling up all skills by 5x all the time since misc. skills do contribute to the multiple but do no cause you to level up.
