That is a little selfish, though not that much as I don't see any other words that fit, apart from gulch which I did before.

It's also correct.

Well, a number of plurals could also fit. With two guesses left S would have eliminated them all leaving only mulch and gulch that fit. Unfortunately B was guessed so I was forced to guess word.
