Hummm, well, I was doing research a little bit, and it looks from WoW forums that people with the same laptop as me have severe problems playing the game. Has something to do with nVidia having lousy drivers for mobile video cards and the game looking like ass or not working at all. So I guess I'll have to either skip this one or wait for a patch...

That is probably the main reason why I quit. What's the point of doing the level grind to PVP when there is no reward for PVP?

The rewards from PvP come not from looting your opponent equipment, but from the ranking system they put in place. The better your rank, the better special rewards you have access to, including a lot of high-end equipment that no one else can have. It's a tiered system, so really only about 1 in 1000 people on a server may have the highest level of reward, thus making incredibly competative to get that rank.
Plus, rewarding the top PvPers with the best stuff seems to make it easier for them to keep other players down.

But the best thing is that when someone was sieging your city, they need to unequip their primary weapon in order to use a siege hammer. A favorite tactic was to get a good thef to go around their ranks and nick their weapons while they where smashing walls or buildings, sometimes just destroying the stolen weapon on the spot so that there's no chance of them being cought later and the weapons found.
Alot of really awsome weapons have been stolen that way.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

actually I have a question. Which class requires the least amount of equipment to be successful? I hate looking for equipment (one of my few gripes about Diablo 2)."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

The 'b' equipment was always kept in the bank, of course. The loot rules where mostly good for killing hunting parties or people alone in the wilderness, not for PvP fights where both parties are out looking for it.

Maybe it's just that everything crashes when Blizzard people leave to lunch...
This downtime is slightly longer than usual because they're "hotfixing" some server code (server-side patch).
In other news, I got my first armorset piece...Lightforge Spaulders of the Lightforge Armorset.
I'm making a Stratholme and Upper Blackrock Spire run tonight, here's hoping for the helm and breastplate.Last edited by Asher; March 29, 2005, 13:48."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
