I always find it funny, when people speak about realism in this kind of a game. Where exactly are orcs, tauren or night elves rooted in reality?

Er.. what I said has nothig to do with the "realism" of the games. It was a comment that while EQ2 had more potential, it failed even more superbly than WoW did, and is, despite it's higher potential, a worse game.
But "realism" is important in a fantasy game. It's not realism as in actual reality, but a consistency within the game world, universe, and setting.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

You can't play the first 30 days until you have entered credit card/game card information. If so, then this is bad, IMHO.
AsmodeanIm not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

Ludd is right. You are getting confused between "realism", which is faithfulness to the environment that has been created, and "naturalism", which is the state of being like our own personal experience, "what life on earth is like".

I don't mind details...just the payment ones. Heck, those are even on a completely separate screen, not with the normal name/address ones.

Still...since I have no intl credit card, this forces me to buy a prepaid game time card, when I get the game. That is mildly annoying, considering the games comes with a free month.

Hey, I didn't read this whole thread, 'cause it's kinda long, but I sorta have a question about this WoW... Does it have some sort of demo? I saw the free month thing above, but still, paying $50 for a game I might not even play for a month is kinda... steep, for a poor college student like me.

That's interesting, Mike, I'll look around to see if anyone has one of those... They are all cheap bastards, mostly though, the people I know that have the game.
And thanks, Spike, master of the obvious. I've seen the game a couple times, and I still don't really know if it's worth it and if it can keep my attention for long enough to justify paying for it monthly. I seem to recall hearing somewhere something about a free trial period, so that's why I was wonderin'...
