Halflife and Far Cry have fantastic looking water. WoW has crappy looking water.

Diss - most of the people you will find that do "grief" actually have terrible builds and/or suck at playing their character. That's why they play the way they do. They aren't tough enough to kill someone decent of equal level so they go pick on low level characters.

Also, that ?? for his level means he is more than 10 levels higher than you. I recommend downloading the cosmos UI mod. You'll get more menu bars and the ability to reveal hidden player levels plus a lot more.

hmm the servers seem down

I got disconnected. I shudder to think where I'll be when I log back on. I wasn in the middle of an area with many baddies. I was able to move around, I just couldn't interact with anything. Eventually I got the disconnect notice.

it seems like you could kill every single merchant and armour/weapon repair guy and they would be seriously ****ed.

It's supposed to bring you dishonour. Not sure if it is implemented yet though.

And the killed NPCs do respawn.

it's listing scarlett crusade as being down . That's the one I'm on. I really didn't know what server to choose, so I just chose a low populated one at random. You'd think they would have these server issues figured out by now. That's another reason why I didn't buy the game when it first came out.

Diss... look at www.wowcensus.com to check the realm population levels. The medium and low pop servers go down much much less than the high pop ones.

What's the deal with time in WOW? It seems to be real time. Is this correct? Unfortunately it's 1 hour ahead of my time, maybe they are on daylight savings time . I was wondering why it was dark so much when I was playing last night.

nothing like walking past a dwarf who's risking his life fighting a monster in order to get to some ore... and then mining it while he's busy fighting. Bonus points if he can watch you do it.

Warriors are the worst class in the game, Druids in a close second.

Try a Shaman. They're awesome.

They're not in the same category of games, so they're not compared.

Both of those engines are crappily coded IMO. WoW runs like a dream on my Radeon 7500 32MB laptop, both of those games won't even install.

Not to mention WoW is a massively multiplayer game with far higher scaling requirements...

Still really love the water in the game.

And HL2's water is wholly overrated -- it looks like grease, not water. It's overdone.
