Or someone who kills you over and over and over despite the fact you are a level 10 farmer with leather armour and a wooden sword and they are a level 40 fighter with full magic plates and +4 sword of doom. And then doesn't even loot the money off your body.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I would never kill anybody over and over. Just once.

Actually I prefer to kill the annoying people, especially PK"ers. I PK PK'ers.

Pretty hard when they are level 50 and you haven't played a MMORPG for more than 1 month.

Ah... reminds me of the good ol' days of Shadowbane - hunting down flakachs that where trespassing on our territory and hiking north to stalk and kill dwarves for fun. And the desertlands. I rarely spent time there, but man, so many thieves and cut-throats - you really had to watch your back. If you want to survive there, you can't travel alone... unless maybe if you're a thief yourself.

Too bad it wasn't such a good game.

I don't really get the infatuation with PvP. I've been having a blast with CoH which thus far is only planning on adding arenas.

I have a 42 AR/Dev blaster on Victory. I'll finish levelling him when PvP is introduced properly in City of Villains.

Some people like to match wits with an intelligent oponent, instead of killing hordes of mindless drones. Well I guess PvP can be like that too, sometimes.

Don't you have to pay a monthly or hourly fee to play this game?

Yes, these games have fees until they get a little old and have to start pulling stunts to attract new customers.

I loved EQ2 ut it became unplayable when I started heading into certain zones like Stormhold. Having to turn all the graphics off just to survive is not acceptable. I don't think WoW is a better game, but it looks great and plays smoothly on my PC. That has to win out.
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

Oerdin: One account costs about $15 a month. Most dedicated players, however, have at least 2.

Grumbold: Zones like Blackburrow and Stormhold are just the beginning, it's going to get significantly worse later in more difficult zones. You need a state of the art PC; forget what you read as "Minimal requirements" on the box. As I wrote above, 1 GB RAM, 3 GHz speed, an up-to-date 3D-adapter and either cable or DSL is the minimum you should have to enjoy Everquest II. I play it at 1600 x 1200 practically lagfree, even in zones as heavy as Stormhold or Blackburrow. In the last two weeks I was on three raids in Cauldron Hollow (a mid-30 level raid instance) with four full groups (24 players) and up to 6-8 mobs fighting at the same time and my computer with the above stats handled it just fine.

Why do you need 2? Only reasons I can see are character limits (like FFXI) or being able to log in two chars at once (like Eve).

Most people who have two accounts have them for both those reasons, but primarily so that they can have two characters logged in at once. Remember that the vast majority of people who play MMORPGs are anti-social geeks - they like to play with themselves.

Plus, they can use it to exploit the game mechanics and make buffbots or nukebots that would be basically unplayable except as a second character. There was someone in DAoC who had 8 accounts, and had it rigged so that all his characters could act in synchrony with a single command.

But is that the case in EQ2? Some games make it easier than others to play 2 accounts. In Eve it's very easy, you can split the screen.
