Need orders from:
Hercules
Jamski
Joncha
Kassiopeia
Skanky
Spaced
Sparrowhawk
On another note: I've gotten plenty of addendums that add on stuff like "fight to the death" or "attack whoever's there" in the last couple of turns. Should those be the defaults?Visit First Cultural Industries

Concerning the two aspects:
Attack whoever's there
Reasons for attacking:
If you don't, you've wasted a turn
Reasons for not attacking:
The enemy fleet may have an OoB and composition you're not prepared for.
I like making this a default, if more people choose "attack anyone who's there", the last person to fight, thus the first to send orders, has some advantages. This means people get their orders in faster.
Jamski's original rules
If two different opponents attack at the same time without informing the GM of their alliance, then the defender must fight them consecutively, fighting first against the one who posted their orders last.
It is possible that when a player is attacked by two non-allied fleets at the same time that he loses both battles. In this case both attackers gain a base.
Fight to the death
Skews things in the advantage of the attacker. Attackers at worst lose their fleet, defenders get hosed completely. Whether this is a bad thing is a whole different story.
I'm not saying that FTTD should go away, but there ought to be some sort of penalty for fighting that extra round, maybe weapons are only half as powerful due to energy running low.
FTTD on the gives an advantage to those who attack first, or send orders last.
Anyway, it's a rare battle that doesn't end in six rounds.
In summary
Code:Attack anyone FTTD First attackers Bad Good Later attackers Good Bad Defenders Bad Bad Gamemaster Bad Good Eliminated players n/a Good Visit First Cultural Industries

It's just that had I mentioned FTTD last time around when in that battle against Spaced, I would have wiped him completely out. However, I have to admit that at that time to FTTD or not to FTTD was a conscious strategic decision I made, not an accidental omission.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. What kind of stupid arrangement was that? Mutual protection pact?
I had to prove such nonsense is impossible in Galactic Overlord.
EDIT: The only problem I had was my pride. I grossly underestimated MORON and paid dearly for that. After all pride is a mortal sin. And though I accept what befell me as a just punishment for my sin, it's the innocent I pity. My poor ally Paddy the Scot suffered the same fate and his only sin was that he trusted my judgment.
