  • For some reason, Verto, your last post doesn't surprise me at all.

But you are accurate, that Morrowind indeed gives you the freedom to get lost

    • that's why I have the map on tacked onto the wall behind my chair.

the only place I really had trouble getting to was the Urshilaku camp which is part of the main quest. It's a pain in the ass getting there (unless you have teleoport or water walking). But I figured out a good land route. Got Mar Gan. Circle around the southern part of the city, and the go around to the east side of the city and look for a break in the mountains. Then go NW up that foyada. And I think there's another break in the mountains you have to look for, and that will allow you to travel north to the urshilaku camp.

but lately I just learn the water walking spell and go to Khuul and water walk to the camp. Water walking is cool because it's cheaper and easier to cast than levitate.

      • On my other character, I would cast a levitate spell that lasted for 30 seconds or so, then put on my boots of blinding speed.

        • I hate being blind. (yes I know they can be dispelled)

          • I finally found a use for the "Lock" spell. If you bring a creature (like Creeper) back to your stronghold, they will run away unless you lock all of the doors..

            • So you could actually collect Creeper+Mudcrab and keep them locked in a room in your stronghold? That would save a lot of travel time.

Mudcrab would be difficult to collect because he moves too slowly. I have not found him yet, but I heard he is far to the South.

Even Creeper was difficult and slow for me to capture because I am Telvanni and my stronghold is a long way from Caldera.

                • Creeper can be reached with fast travel, there is no sense moving him. I never bother with the mudcrab. No one needs that much gold anyways.

I do when I plan to build my own ebony armour

                    • Damn you all, now I have to go back and start playing this game again.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

                      • So presumably now with 50% less time, at least.

There's a good reason why mudcrab is hard (well, boring) to get to, so it seems a bit poor to move him back to civilisation. I'd be impressed if you could be bothered to spend the hours required to do it though. b:

                        • The last time I played, I made a teleport point right next to him. It made things easier.

                          • If you play with the expansions, you dont need to bother with Creeper/Mudcrab. Merchants in Mournhold have lots of cash to spend on your items...
