  • What is your character's armor configuration?
I have a level 50 character who can pretty much choose from anything that is out there. He is wearing:

    Adamantium Helm
    Glass Pauldrons
    Her Hand's Gauntlets
    Cuirass of the Savior's Hide
    Glass Greaves
    Boots of Blinding Speed
    Ebony Shield

Helm is enchanted w/Fortify Light Armor 1-19 constant effect..
Shield is enchanted w/Fortify Strength 1-59 constant effect...
(Ebony shields have an incredible 150 enchantment points!)

    Armor rating = 219.

    Also equipped regularly:

Exq. shirt - ench. Fortify Luck 1-23 constant
Exq. pants - ench Fortify Agility 1-16 constant.
    Trebonius' Necromancer amulet
    Royal Signet Ring
One of my other various constant effect rings

No robe - I dont like the way the character looks with a robe on!

    • My character is a lv49 Nord.

Either i wear full dark brotherhood armour using a dwermer shortsword, for theif type missions. I cant get involved in tough fights like this, so will run away if i get to many people/creatures after me.
      Magical item is a shadow amulet(chamaleon 80%).

Or my main combat setup is:

Dragonscale cuirass and helmet(they just look cool)
      Imperial chain pauldrons
      Leather Boots
      Imperial templar greaves
      Dwermer gauntlets
Steel battle axe(two handed)/ magical lightning damage.

or Dwermer shield + Black saints short sword.

magic item is an ebony right guantlet of levitation.

      • What is your favorite NPC's name?

Mine would be "Malpenix Blonia". I think that name translates from Latin into something vulgar...

        • NPC name? hmmm they are difficult to remember for the most part, but probably Ra'vir from Balmora.

              • So if I'm interested in checking this out are there any essential mods before I start playing? I've heard of some that improve the graphics. Where would I find these?

                • there are no essentual mods in my opinion. And I think the graphics already look pretty damn good. Even though the game is getting a little dated, it still looks pretty good.

                  • Yeh ... just start the game (and i'd even go so far as to say that you don't need, or even want, the expansions right off the bat - they're cool later, but at first they can be sort of annoying because they throw some higher level stuff at you earlier than you'd normally get it, and earlier than you want to do the expandsion quests - you can add them in and then go into the expansion areas later on. )

                    • Giants and Wilderness by Pumaman are really good mods, and I consider them necessary for the game to have much difficulty later on. There are a couple good weapon's mods like Assassin's Armory,
Weapon Compilation Mod, and Marksman that you should pick up too. Real Signposts is a fairly useful mod that may take away atmosphere but makes it much easier to read signposts.

                      • I just found out that I can move Creeper around with a Command Creature spell! I'm taking him back to my stronghold!

                        • Hmmm....good idea. It's not like he's too hard to get to anyway though. Since I am home for the summmer I really want to get into Morrowind again, but I'm too wraped up in WoW.

                          • Nice.

Having just one location to go to at the end of trips certainly does help though.

Yeah I agree, the expansions throw things at you that you don't need as a newbie. My own home made mod rules off course I doubt anyone agrees though since it removes things like creeper, mudcrap and fast travel from the game

                              • I have trouble with this game; I was so used to my old character, a god among men, that now I'm always dying because I get in fights with everyone I see

And I'm in the middle of nowhere.

But at least Morrowind gives me the freedom to get lost!
