Looks like quite a pretty game.

Chose a start location that has lots of open plains and not cover; all your units move 2 spaces. That is the only way to get the battle over with quickly. Yeah, land combat is the slowest aspect of the game.

Henry Morgan & Captain Kidd

Has anybody seen these guys. I can't locate them. They're the only 2 Legendary Pirates I haven't vanquished, and that's because I can't find them.
Also, any word on the Treasure Fleet. I keep getting the clues that it is headed for Puerto Bello, but when I get there, nothing. I'll sail for months around that port then head for Santa Marta or Rio de la Hacha and get yet another clue that it is headed for Puerto Bello. What gives???

From other forums threads I've heard that Morgan and Kidd are highly elusive and the Tresure Fleet even more so. It seems like they made them difficult to catch so when you do, it becomes quite a story .

Strange assumption, if I had the game I wouldn't be asking, I would probably be playing! I doesn't seem to be that much of a difference from the old game so I don't think I would even need a manual.

I also noticed that your girlfriend has HUGE... tracks of land...

Remember back when I played the first game on my C64 cassette (I have three copies of the game; C64 cassette, diskette and amiga) and there was no pictures. Didn't have a clue about the girls looks and then I got my 1541 and got see that religious lizard you could have married.

No, I'm talking about the animation... it takes about 5-10 sec just to move a "unit" one spot, and you have to wait for all people in a unit to stop the animation before you can move the next unit...
